Thumbs up Pho Hanoi in Vietnam

If you are traveling to Vietnam, you will have the opportunity to enjoy Pho Hanoi. Pho is the 5th best food in the world ranked by Guardian, 2009.

Hanoi's cuisine is famous nationwide with many specialties, but the most well known dish is Pho, a rice noodle soup often eaten as breakfast meal at home, food stalls, roadside inns, or in the restaurants.

The soup includes rice noodles, thinly sliced meat and clear broth made by simmering beef bones, oxtails, flank steak, serving with onions, basil, lemon or lime, bean sprouts and peppers. There are several varieties of Pho such as Pho Bo, containing beef, and Pho Ga, containing chicken.

Pho is best tasted when it is still hot. The sweet taste of broth, savory smell of meat and the softness of noodles mixing with each other create the unique perfect flavor for the special food that can be only best enjoyed in the capital of Vietnam.

Yep, I'll vouch for that. Had it many times all over Vietnam.

Wonderful and satisfying meal. Cheap as also.

    Pho is lovely.

I would like to say that I had a very bad experience with a business called APT Travel on one of my trips to Vietnam. APT Travel are the worst travel firm I have ever experienced.

" APT ". That's a high end travel company isn't it. Surprised to hear that.

you are confusing it with APT tours. APT travel is a local thai outfit - outfit being the word.

Ignore the critics, perfectly reasonable post.

I make Pho at home all the time, and my lad loves it, too.

Hardest part is finding Phu Quoc or the equivalent.

    OP,

Please screw off. Posters here know about Pho, and yes I like it to. You are obviously a Hanoian in addition to a spammer buy your typically arrogant Hanoian attitude about "Hanoi having the best."

I've to many places and regions of VN. Hanoians are disliked just about everywhere else in VN.

Fucking random first post (Do you own a Pho shop?) Ha ha

I do however agree that Pho is great! It's everywhere in Laos and I love it! Best place in Vientiane in my opinion is Pho Zap, really good!
