| Boon Mee - you clearly posted a link to an article which doesn't contain the information you claimed, but which does contain the information that Stroller posted. Now, so many times you have done this that it is really starting to annoy people. It's a waste of your time, my time and just results in building up unnecessary posts like this that are not relevant to the topic. An AP writer has written a report on the facts, and you start to bleat about left-wing bias. It's ridiculous. The House is controlled by the Democrats. That's a fact. They won through being elected. If the people vote them in, then they vote for their policies. If their policies are to avoid an escalation of the war, then that's what they'll vote for. These are the simple facts. If you agree with them or not, you can't criticise a reporter for doing his job.

| And, btw, I haven't "interpreted" any facts, I simply refuted Boon Mee's false claim. Yes, it is annoying - actually, we have a rule here about the deliberate posting of false information. You need to be more diligent, Boon Mee, your posts are moving into dodgy territory. |

| Quote: Seriously, though - I do generally find that the "lefties" come across as more broadminded, articulate and are better at providing references when asked to do so than the "cons" are. This is not to say that the "lefties" don't have their share of "nutters", but at least there are a few people of them capable of contributing to a discussion. No names!

| Senior Member | What Liberal Media Bias? ![]() Newsweek press release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, November 13, 2007 MARKOS MOULITSAS, FOUNDER AND PUBLISHER OF DAILYKOS.COM, TO BECOME NEWSWEEK CONTRIBUTOR FOR 2008 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN New York — Markos Moulitsas, the founder and publisher of dailykos.com, will become a Newsweek contributor for the 2008 presidential campaign, offering occasional opinion pieces to the pages of the magazine and to Newsweek.com. "We have always sought to represent a diversity of views in Newsweek, and we think Markos will be a great part of that tradition," said Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham. "He will give our readers in print and online a unique perspective. As always, our job is to create the most energetic and illuminating magazine possible, and Markos will help us do that as the campaign unfolds." Do you actually believe Markos is going to report on the GOP candidates with the same unbiased language that he uses when talking about his favorite socialist comrades or maybe not?

| Senior Member | Here's another excellent example of how skewed these Leftie reporters attempt to bias objective fact: ".. columnist, Eric Alterman, a professor of English and of Journalism. Readers of The Guardian's "Comment is Free" site can sometimes find Alterman commenting on American politics, as in his judgement a few months ago that: Well, I think you have be some combination of crazy, ignorant, dishonest or ideologically obsessed to believe that Islamic fundamentalists want to kill us because of "who we are" rather than "what we do", but on their lists of grievances, the never-ending presence of US troops in Saudi Arabia, coupled with US support for the Israeli occupation of the West Bank would rank one and two" Is this Alterman totally out-to-lunch or what? Rather than being so-called 'ideologically obsessed' an objective view would be they darn sure do want to kill us just for what we are and represent. Anyhow, many more examples... | Senior Member | Media Bias? What Media Bias? All 3 Network Anchors To Follow Obama Trip. That's 3 More Than Followed McCain ![]() Are they not the cutest trio of left-wing shills you ever saw! Brian, Charlie, Katie To Report on Obama Overseas - mediabistro.com: TVNewser Heh...even the NY Times notices the disparity: "Executives at the three traditional networks say they generally devote the same resources to the candidates. But they do not dispute that Mr. Obama has received more coverage this year, not only because of the historic nature of his campaign and his newness to the political scene relative to Mr. McCain, but also because of the protracted nature of Mr. Obama’s primary battle with Mrs. Clinton, which was at a peak when Mr. McCain last went to Iraq. The imbalance has appeared in various analyses of the news coverage. The Tyndall Report, a news coverage monitoring service that has the broadcast networks as clients, reports that the three newscasts by the networks — which have a combined audience of more than 20 million people — spent roughly 114 minutes covering Mr. Obama since June. They spent about 48 minutes covering Mr. McCain, who made the rounds of the evening newscasts in satellite interviews last week. ...The large news media contingent that will travel with Mr. Obama will be a help if the trip goes wonderfully. But any gaffes will take place before a larger megaphone." The left-wing media covering BO's gaffes? Ha! Like they did over the 57 states line, the Great Seal etc ![]() http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/17/us...&oref= slogin Last edited by Boon Mee : 19-07-2008 at 01:01 AM. |
