My posts have always been conservative. Reagan had to deal with a Democratic HR, remember? Do you know where all appropriations begin? If there's a problem with government spending you blame it on the House of Reps because Constitutionally no dollar can be spent unless they approve first. Being conservative doesn't mean supporting a foolish war either. Being conservative means supporting the Constitution emphatically and strictly (which is something neither you nor Boon Mee or some of the other 'conservatives' can claim).

However, just because I have some liberal tendencies doesn't mean I shouldn't do the right thing. That's why I support GWB. Common sense will tell you that.

Nation building is not a true conservative ideal either. Nation building? Check. Deficit spending? Check. Running up the debt? Check. Imposing new regulations and taking away civil liberties? Check. Nothing at all conservative about the current regime in Washington. As I've said many times I don't oppose going after terrorists...it's the manner in which we are doing it (and failing) that I oppose.

I wish would would do alot more in alot of domestic areas as well. Education, health care, public transportation, housing ... probably many of the same issues as you are concerned about. But I really don't give two shits what any other country thinks or any of our own citizens think when it comes to how the US deals with these fucking sicko raghead fundamentalist terrorist Muslims. Fuck them ... fuck them all. Like I said before ... it will only last for the tenure of George Bush ... but I'm damn glad we get a President every once in a while who stops and smells the coffee, and realizes diplomacy often doesn't work or takes far too long.

But see the problem is that they didn't attack us with a big military. They used guerilla tactics, so, why didn't we? Since we invaded and overthrew the Taliban life is now worse than it was when the Taliban were in power. We didn't solve the probelm; we simply overthrew a legitimate government and replaced it with another corrupt one. Once we leave the problem will come back again because we think the solution to everything is a military one. So, now, because of what we have done we have energized a new generation of terrorists. I don't give two shits either about what other nations think, but, I do give two shits about whether or not what we are doing is in the best interest of this nation for the long term. From the late 1960s until 9-11 we were on a downward trend of attacks against Americans, and, in most years that number was between 5-15. Do you think the terrrorists are now more afraid or more embolded by our failures in Iraq and our continuing failure in Afghanistan? You can't force people to accept a form of government that they don't want. We haven't solved a thing because there wasn't a problem to solve in the first place. Aside from the perfect storm that was 9-11 the risk to any American's life of being killed by a terrorist was and is still so small (1 in 200,000,000) that the ends aren't justifying the means.
