| Thailand Travel Forum | Jeremiah Wright Behind a White House Desk Man, did BO fuck-up big-time again or what? ![]() The White House might be in full-denial mode but this guy joins the rest of BO's crew who are just too 'controversial' ![]() ABC News reports: A top environmental official of the Obama administration issued a statement Thursday apologizing for past incendiary statement and denying that he ever agreed with a 2004 petition on which his name appears, a petition calling for congressional hearings and an investigation by the New York Attorney General into “evidence that suggests high-level government officials may have deliberately allowed the September 11th attacks to occur.”

| OP, and thanks for the OP Boon, is about Van Jones, not Jeremiah Wright - but I see you connection and pun. Van Jones statements - which I've read about of context - seems odd sometimes. Is he being exagerrated by the opposition, or is he a loose canon loonie. I don't know. Both sides of the aisle will have people on the fringe: the GOP had John Ashcroft, who was a member of the secretive "Family," for example. It seems Van Jones is on the other end.

| Thailand Travel Forum | NO SHIT,, Well if you do not like it here , do not open or post on here if you do not like TD forums, you will find some in every room here. In all posts started or added to by Panama Hat, Antsy R., Lily, Ray Fairy Mustavaclit, and a few others are negative postings, but you get the idea. This is the only forum I have ever been on where personal terminal illness, your children either dying from something or suicide and you being blamed and continually reminded of such happenings so as to boost a persons own standing in the hierarchy of the membership, continually called a paedo and a racist for your choice lack of Political correctness, of being a success in todays world with an education that was the standard of the day and have surpassed other, younger members in lifetime successes who with higher standing in personal education than your own because you are above their IQ's and worked harder. I have some very good friends here on TD, but I have good friends on other forums where they were always behind you whether for your personal advancement or in helping you to support schools and children in poorer country's in which you choose to live now.

| Hey ! If you can find a post where I have referred to your illness or family, I'll apologise, but you can't. And for the OP. I find it interesting where it was copied from. So let me reverse it. If you don't want me to look at your posts, then don't post |

| Obama 'green jobs' adviser quits amid controversy By WILL LESTER (AP) – 1 hour ago WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama's environmental adviser Van Jones, who became embroiled in a controversy over past inflammatory statements, has resigned his White House job after what he calls a "vicious smear campaign against me." The resignation, announced early Sunday, came as Obama is working to regain his footing in the contentious health care debate. Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly "green jobs" with the White House Council on Environmental Quality was linked to efforts suggesting a government role in the 2001 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans. Jones issued an apology on Thursday for his past statements. When asked the next day whether Obama still had confidence in him, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said only that Jones "continues to work in the administration." The Associated Press: Obama 'green jobs' adviser quits amid controversy Strange place the US. It likes to present itself as oh so PC, and post racial, but when it comes down to it I think a large percentage of the white population are stuck in some sort of social timewarp. Scared and insecure with it. So he's resigned, no big deal. In any other western nation I know the Right wing braying would have just been laughed at. Strange place, when it comes down to it I think many there are grappling with their diminishing role in the nation, and Amerka's diminishing role in the world.

| ^ and ^^, Poll, schmoll. I expect BO's poll number to decline because of some of his policy mannuervers and also because of the economy - the latter which won't get better. Over time BO's political acumen in Washington should improve. BO's election is 3 years and 2 months away. That's an eternity. But the mid-term Congressional elections are 14 months away, and as historical common the opposing party not in the White House will likely pick up some seats. Nonetheless, polls mean nothing - for now. |

| Thailand Travel Forum | What you trying to say Milky, all The Fairy can say is look at the polls he is a great great pres and he is a coon and we elected him anyway, so it means nothing to me as I knew he was an empty shirt elected by black and late teen votes that have never had bean and biscuits for breakfast and had to work til late in the evening for supper that consisted of the same thing. |
