honestly, what's the deal with these tea baggers? why do they hate america?

actually, it reminds of a refrain heard on this board a few years back....

    america....love it or leave it.

so, tea baggers....if you hate america and democratically elected government.....leave.

and if you're not american....well, it just doesn't matter what you think, does it?

People can't pay their mortgages and credit card debt?
Why didn't they save money instead of spending it like there was no tomorrow?

Sounds like they're a bunch of "libbies", taking no responsibility for their own behaviour. They get into problems of their own making and then want the gummint to solve them for them.

Check this out - a Tea Party in YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:

“Over 500 people rallied in downtown Yakima, all frustrated with the U.S. Government’s spending and budgeting. This tea party rally attracted people from all walks of life, from kids to old veterans, many holding signs and banners. Most of them wanted to reduce government spending and are disappointed with U.S. lawmakers.”

Kinda takes the wind outa Ray's sail's with that evidence, eh?

Hmmm......0.6%. Holy shit it's damn near unanimous. We must act now to stop this....What was it again? Oh yeah, reduce government spending and bring down those nasty lawmakers.

Now here's something worthy of the mention from the Republicans.

"The PCO caucus to select the three top candidates for the Yakima County Coroner position will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 11th."

These Tea Party protesters are not going to be taken seriously until they all wear T-shirts of the same colour (red, yellow and blue have already been used).

    Tea Parties Terrify Moonbats

There's a reason the mainstream media has barely mentioned the growing Tea Party phenomenon: it scares moonbats witless. A stain spreads across Wyatt Shev's trousers as he whimpers in terror:
April 15th. Write that date down; people — it could very well mark the beginning of the end. With the notoriously conservative Tea Party movement gaining steam, is it time to take the 'United' out of 'United States'? … On April 15th, hundreds of thousands of PO'd red meat eatin' Americans will converge on the streets to protest the Obama administration's policies and platforms. … In reality, their 'movement' is incredibly divisive, a mindset that stands in sharp contrast to Obama's calls for bipartisanship in this time of great national need. Their arguments have the potential to divide the country along titanic lines not seen since the bloody days of the Civil War.
Think I'm exaggerating here? The Tea Party movement is an incredibly dangerous concept, fuelled by the usual gushes of sycophantic support from the conservative news media (here's looking at you, Fox). … If the country continues down this dark path, a second Civil War might not just be a cool idea for a sci-fi novel anymore. … I hope the protesters fail in their mission to bring their message to a national audience. It's a message of fear, prejudice and, quite frankly, hate. … The Tea Party movement represents a real danger to the tenets of democracy Americans have embraced for centuries.
On the contrary, peaceful protests against the deliberate bankrupting of our economy and the imposition of socialism are the quintessence of the tenets of democracy Americans have embraced for centuries.

On Tax Day, the Tea Parties will be too big for the media to ignore, so it will turn to Plan B: demonizing anyone who takes party in them. Shev won't be the last to stick a shiv into patriots who care enough to take a stand against the leftists destroying our country.

^ That's really amusing. I thought one of the rights of America was freedom of speech? And the Tea Party view goes against Obama's bipartisan efforts? I think bambam has done that all by hisself.
Anyway, I bet many participants will be disgruntled Democrats who are really PO-ed that they voted for BO. Yessirree.

^ Awww, coz they throw tantrums when folks don't go their way. Listen to MSNBC and the huff'n'puff screech about these parties. "Only one day", "taxes were higher before", "we do not have taxation without representation", blah blah. Most folks are protesting against govt spending and hey, where's the new fekin jobs?
I hope Obama laughs it off -- that will really enrage people. I bet the libbie press uses their airtime to focus on how cute Bo is.

How big of a political issue have taxes become? Not much, according to a recent Gallup poll. It found that 48% of Americans think the federal income tax they pay is “about right” -- one of the highest scores on this question since Gallup began measuring it in the 1950s. The poll also found that 61% believe the federal taxes they’re paying are fair. In the last few years, the GOP has seen its advantage on the issue of taxes deteriorate, and it's something that has thrown the party for a loop -- as without taxes as a rallying cry, the GOP has found itself with fewer issues to brag to the public about.
and guess who's behind all this tea bagging? get ready for a shock ( ).....the RNC and fox news.

These tea parties are hardly non-partisan events. While there’s certainly a grassroots component here, these parties have been co-opted by a major America political party (the RNC's Web site allows for creating send-a-tea-bag post cards to Dem leaders) and an entire cable news channel (which has been promoting the events). The main Web site for the events today, Tax Day Tea Party, is funded by conservative groups, and a public records search shows it's registered to a conservative techie, Allen B. Fuller, who used to be a legislative correspondent for GOP Sen. Richard Shelby and who touts creating Web sites for Republican elected officials. Also reportedly involved in today’s protest events are FreedomWorks, a conservative group founded by former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, and Americans for Prosperity.

these tea bagging enthusiasts are the fringe of the lunatic fringe....and they're being manipulated by the establishment types who run the RNC.

    rubes.

Jeez, can't miss this historical event!!

I'll be glued to the TV. Any idea when the tea parties will start? I don't want to miss a minute of the action. What channel should I be watching on. BBC, CNN or Al Jazeera. I don't get KIMA, Yakima here in Isaan.

Are you kidding Jet! All this other stuff about the economy, war strategy in Iraq/Afghanistan, nuclear disarmament, piracy and the like is just a ruse to throw us off. In fact, he has dropped all these trivial things and gathered all his top military advisers to come up with a strategy to avert "the beginning of the end".

He may opt for an all out military response or wus out and give the guy his 65" plasma display. I hope the latter cause nobody buys plasma displays any more so shouldn't cost the taxpayers much. Obama is considering sweeten the deal by offering a lifetime membership to Weight Watchers.

I just watched some of the Tea Party coverage on CNN & Fox News...

CNN - Hostile on-seen reporter who was inciting the attendees... All protesters appeared to be wingnutz who had just escaped from the asylum...

Fox News - Sympathetic reporter who empathized with the protesters... Protesters portrayed to be sane citizens who are worried about the future of their country...

    Go figure...

What do you expect from ultra-liberal CNN, eh?

Cincinnati has come through with another successful Tea Party.
