Yep, and how many women and children do the Tban and AQ get to be suicide bombers?
Politics and ranting on TD makes strange bedfellows, eh Jet. You may not be sleeping with any AQers or TBANers, but you're sure enough flirtin'.

But she does have a point, MrG.

If we, as a people, wish to be placed on the same level as the Taleban then we have succeeded by applying the same base thinking.

If they use women and children to kill soldiers then we can sure as hell justify bombing the crap out of their civilian population!

    Innit?!

Talibans are scums, they need to be destroyed, that's a given, but the Americans are doing much worse

the taliban are a deplorable group, but they are not a threat to america....well, except to the members of the US military that are occupying their country.

I agree that Taliban are deplorable, and (except for the Al-Qaeda bases and training which the Taliban protected) the Taliban is not a threat to the US, at this time.

The Taliban should be monitored. I think it's possible.

And the Taliban is not a threat to American "freedom."

And by occupying thier country and slaughtering their families we are simply creating more radical Muslim terrorists hell bent on revenge. Not a particularly smart way to fight a war. But then again internal US politics demands that they maximize the enemy body count while minimizing their own. Most US voters dont hold the lives of Afghan women and kids in as high a value as their own soldiers. And so the occupation and war against the Afghan people becomes a self defeating exercise for USA.

Still, I am sure those aerial shots of Afghan families being blown to bits makes a lot of Americans feel good as they watch the evening news.

Is not being able to build the oil pipeline the Americans would like to run through Afghanistan to the 'zakisatans, once the country is stable, a threat to American security?

I guess they better give up on that idea then.

The New American Century just didn't turn out like Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld planned.

    Oil and Natural gas.

Yes, coming from the "stans" north of the border.

I wish there was more mention of this in the media.

    Old news Comrade Boonski...

Young captive minds, easily influenced, eager for direction, enlisted into a cult of personality focused on an individual who, other than being the first black president, has yet to accomplish anything of significance.

But still funny... that you buy into this shit.

"I want you to bless him, just reach out your hands and ....." Fucking nuts.

As a parent I'd sue the school for everything they have for this indoctrination and 'idol' worship.

Doesn't have anything to do with GWB. The 401K and stocks going down - but the DID GO DOWN WHILE G.W.B WAS IN OFFICE.

So did the recession go 2000/01 and Great recession of 2007 to present.

It's not all on GWB anyway, but you had to mention it.
