Actually, the parent nationality issue has now got me questioning the legality. ie, if two Mexican illegal immigrants have a kid in the States, could that kid be prez? Technically under these waffled rulings, he/she could, no?

absolutely..born on American soil or have an American parent, your eligible... that's one reason so many pregnant Mexican immigrants want to get to the states to have their baby's (not to be presidential candidates of course but for the citizenship) besides the better care and ability to go back without paying..

Obama can still be President - Supreme Court declines case

Good news for Barack Obama fans. It turns out that the $750 million he raised to become President paid off. He can still be President of the United States (even if he does smoke a cigarette now and then).

Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has decided not to hear a lawsuit challenging Barack Obama’s citizenship. Here’s a copy of the document.
This means if you are traveling out to see his inauguration, don’t cancel your plane tickets just yet. It appears the ceremonies are still on.
No tinfoil
The suit, filed by Leo Donofrio of East Brunswick, N.J., charged that Obama is not a natural born U.S. citizen.
Now, he’s not one of those tinfoil-hat wearing people who claim Obama was born in Indonesia. He acknowledges that the President-elect was born in Hawaii.
Then what’s all the confusion? As far as we can tell, Hawaii was still admitted to the Union in 1959. And Barack Obama was born in 1961 (in Hawaii). Sure, we’re not rocket scientists here at The Vote (although some people think we think Germany bombed Pearl Harbor), but it seems kosher to us.

Clarity

What does Donofrio allege?
Obama had dual nationality at birth. His father was a British subject at the time of his birth and his mother was a U.S. citizen.
Denofrio outlines his argument concisely on his blog in a letter to ABC News:
The main argument of my law suit alleges that since Obama was a British citizen - at birth - a fact he admits is true, then he cannot be a “natural born citizen”. The word “born” has meaning. It deals with the status of a presidential candidate “at birth”.
Obama had dual nationality at birth. The status of the candidate at the time of the election is not as relevant to the provisions of the Constitution as is his status “at birth.” If one is not “born” a natural born citizen, he can never be a natural born citizen.”

......

By the way, had John McCain won, we’d likely see the same thing happening. Denofrio claims that McCain isn’t eligible for the office as well.

Whew… Obama can still be President - Supreme Court declines case | csmonitor.com

Probably todays most trivial piece of news.

I guess us conservative types should feel happy.

Liberals are growing increasingly nervous – and some just flat-out angry – that President-elect Barack Obama seems to be stiffing them on Cabinet jobs and policy choices.
...
“He has confirmed what our suspicions were by surrounding himself with a centrist to right cabinet. But we do hope that before it's all over we can get at least one authentic progressive appointment,” said Tim Carpenter, national director of the Progressive Democrats of America.
..
etc
I worked my butt off for his campaign and now he's giving the admin job I wanted to a black. Huff...(not out yet, but I'm sure it's coming)

Chicago-style politics back in the news. What do you all make of it? Gov Blagojevich accused of trying to "sell" BO's vacated senate seat? And BO knows nuuuuthink? (sorry, we watched Hogan's Heroes replays last night. Always loved Sgt Shultz) BO said he never talked to Blog about it but Axlerod said a few weeks back that BO had talked to Blog about the seat, then Axle now says he mispoke. Hmmm. Makes you wonder. BO is such a smart guy but he never knew what Rezko did, never heard Rev Wright say anything bad in the 20 years he was a member of that congregation...Something funny is going on here. It will be real interesting if Bloggie squeals. Somehow I sniff an Emmanuel sending Blog more than a dead fish in the mail.
And Jesse Jackson, Jr had a 90-minute meeting with Blog about the seat but NO money was ever discussed. Uh huh.
This is all getting very tasty.

Here's a sidebar from the Onion:
Illinois Governor Arrested

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested Tuesday on corruption charges stemming from an alleged conspiracy to sell or trade the Senate seat left vacant by Barack Obama. What do you think?
Ethan Strouth,
Mailroom Worker
"I was moved by the governor's heartfelt plea that he be given his fucking money back."

Denise Simmonds,
Dog Groomer
"I should have never had those 'Spitzer-Blagojevich 2012' lawn signs printed up back in February."

John Edwards,
Lawyer
"How much are Senate seats going for these days? I only paid $75,000 for mine back in ’98."
Illinois Governor Arrested | The Onion - America's Finest News Source

Read this for Jesse Jr's statements. He may be candidate 5 but he never offered to make a $500,000 contribution to Blogo nor did he send an emissary to do so.

Damn niggers gone done appointed some Nobel prize winning Chink to Energy secretary too:-

Obama taps Nobel physicist for energy secretary: reports

President-elect Barack Obama has chosen Nobel prize-winning physicist Steven Chu, a strong advocate of alternative and renewable energy research [], to be his energy secretary, US media reported Thursday.

Obama has also decided to name three experienced policy makers and regulators to key environmental jobs, the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times wrote, suggesting the next US president plans to push for a bold shift on climate and energy issues.

Obama has selected Carol Browner, former administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under president Bill Clinton, to fill a position overseeing energy, environment and climate policies, the newspapers reported, citing unnamed Democratic party officials.

Browner once served as legislative director for former vice president and environmental advocate Al Gore when he was a member of the US Senate.
Obama also has decided to name Lisa Jackson, former head of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, to head the EPA. Nancy Sutley, a deputy mayor of Los Angeles for energy and environment, will lead the White House Council on Environmental Quality, the reports said.

OK, he doesn't want to announce real specifics or give the current Admin any of his ideas or preside before his time. Chattering about the economy, fiscal stimlus, and boosting the auto industry -- sure, a big industry, but seems to go against his green policy -- why not say help to build hybrids, etc? I see it also as a cave-in to auto unions.
The First Lady Reagan gaffe was sooooo bad and the puppy story was soooooo naff.
Never been prolific about the Bush disaster, but you are proud to speculate about BO even if he doesn't have acomplished a day at the head of the USA.

Chicago , IL .

Chicago Police today reported finding a john doe male body in the Chicago River . The victim apparently drowned due to excessive narcotics consumption.

He was wearing black fishnet stockings, a red garter belt, a strap-on dildo, and an Obama t-shirt. He also had a cucumber inserted in his rectum.

The police thoughtfully removed the Obama t-shirt to spare the family any unnecessary embarrassment.

Is Barack a plagariser?

I had the occasion to see an early 90's Eddie Murphy movie late last night called "the Distinguished Gentleman" have you seen this movie?

briefly it is about a young black con man who has a name similar to the previous Governor who dies while bonking his assistant, so, he (Eddie Murphy's character) decides to run for the office on his name alone to get elected to office and make big money on "perks" of the job.

Well he wins the election and on his acceptance speech he says "we ran on a platform of change" how's that for some irony? or is it?? it struck me too because all this time I knew that platform sounded familiar to me, but just couldn't pin point it....... Until now......

Obama Visits Marines... Met With Silence
Let's face it.

The cut-&-runner is no George W. Bush.

No applause.
Who says Marines don't think..

As Obama entered the room, it was absent of the regular fanfare of cheering and clapping. The diners were polite, staying seated at their respective tables and waited for the president-elect to come to them to stand up.

Heh...
He's not a cut and runner. He's the Commander in Chief (CINC).

And Presidents should not meet armed forces personnel for photo-ops to play off of the public rampant pseudo-patriotism and nationalism.
