Yep...the wheels are definitely coming off BO's bus!

BO is standing up for the rights of suspected terrorists.!!!
On Monday in Michigan, Obama became exercised when talking about the need to give even suspected terrorists legal rights.

“We may think this is Mohammed the terrorist,’’ he said at a campaign rally, but “it might be Mohammed the cab driver. You might think it’s Barack the bomb thrower. But it might be Barack the guy running for president.’’

Continuing, he got more heated, his voice booming. Referring to the Constitution, he said: “Don’t mock the Constitution! Don’t make fun of it! Don’t suggest that it’s un-American to abide by what the founding fathers set up! It’s worked pretty well for 200 years!!’’
He finished with a sigh: “These people."

Heh...'these people' don't look at the Constitution as a sucide pact there Barry...

These people?

I'm one of these people. I'd rather see 50 mistakes than one who gets through.

Most people in the world would agree with me.

Is it me is Obama stumbling through his pep talk to the people in the pews? He's definetely running out of gas at this rally.

"...You might think it’s Barack the bomb thrower. But it might be Barack the (lefty black) guy (with suspect pedigree and leanings) running for president.’’

Shouldn't tie one's laces together before jogging in public...much more of this and McCain's a formality...

Me too, Tex, though of course we know everyone is innocent till proven guilty in a court of law or blown to bits doing Allah's evil deeds.

The Electoral College may confuse people as to why there is such a thing. The reason lies in the immediate post colonial history of the US. Large states v. small states. It's the same reason there is a Senate.

When I was in Hanoi I asked to see the "Hanoi Hilton" and was told that it had been torn down.

^ Sure. Easier for drivers to see kids at school crossings, but gives me a headache.

Not only are things looking better, and better for McCain in the national polls, but things are only getting better and better for McCain as it relates to the electoral math as well.

At first glance blue team supports might have been glad to see that McCain has lost a point in the latest Gallup poll, but on closer inspection they would find that so did Obama – McCain’s lead remains 5 points:
Gallup Daily: McCain 48%, Obama 43%

Rasmussen has updated their electoral balance or power calculations and the news is all positive for McCain:
Rasmussen Reports™: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election.

Quote:
NM – moves from leans Dem to toss-up - move away from Obama
ND – moves from leans GOP to likely GOP – move towards McCain
AK – moves from likely GOP to Safe GOP – move towards McCain

Also recently:

Quote:
MT – moves from leans GOP to likely GOP – move towards McCain

Nearly every move in the electoral map as posted by Rasmussen have been in favor of McCain over the past two months.

I will say that the current timing of the new state-by-state polls is favorable to McCain. Everyone seems to be redoing their state-by-state polls now (after both conventions have finished). But McCain seems to be still basking in his Palin/convention bounce, and this will be reflected in the state-by-state polls.

If 23,000 rally for McCain-Palin in the middle of a work day and the media ignores it, did it really happen?

Team Obama gearing up to take on Palin:
Obama "Mythbusters" vs. McCain "Truth Squad" - From The Road

Quote:
September 10, 2008, 8:30 AM - This morning the Obama campaign announced the launch of “Alaska Mythbusters” – a group of Obama supporters who have worked with or ran against Palin.
Can someone pretty please tell team Obama that he is running against McCain?

They've lost the plot. Now sit back, grab a cool drink, and watch them implode.
