Heh...check out his vid - it clearly shows how BO goes in to kill the messenger--i.e., anybody who dares to expose his real agenda. It's fascinating how that messenger --e.g., Joe the Plumber or Fox News--then becomes the issue and not the holiness of the messiah himself...

It seems there is a fair bit of pre election jitters out there in Libland, this is from the NY Times-

She's Obamas half Aunt on his fathers side, which is hardly close, otoh I'm not sure how she would qualify to get public housing as an illegal- did Obama help her? I very much doubt it, but if it can be shown he did they've got something on him, at last.

I think the "aunti" story should be checked, but as noted, could be nothing. However, as BO has mentioned her in his book(s), surely he knew about her living in the States? If it is discovered that he helped to get her public housing as an illegal, it would add more questions as to his image. A slick Chicago politician leading the whole country? I don't trust him. But you all knew that!

Barack Obama's 'Auntie Zeituni' made illegal contributions to his campaign


Barack Obama's 'Auntie Zeituni', found by The Times living on a Boston housing estate, appears to have made an illegal contribution to her nephew's presidential campaign because she is not a US citizen.

Following the revelation, Obama's campaign issued a statement saying that Senator Obama had no knowledge of his aunt's immigration status, and that he believed all appropriate laws should be followed in dealing with the issue.

Zeituni Onyango, 56, the half-sister of Mr Obama's Kenyan father, gave a total of $260 to the Obama campaign during the third quarter of this year, records show.
US election rules require that individuals making presidential campaign contributions be US citizens, and political campaigns are required to make "best efforts" to verify that, a Federal Election Commission spokesman said.

The Associated Press reports that Ms Onyango is living in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago.
There are an estimated 10 million illegal immigrants in the US.

Nevertheless, the revelation could be a political embarrassment for the Obama campaign with just three days to go to the presidential election.

Ms Onyango was the first Kenyan relative to welcome Mr Obama on his first visit to his father's homeland in 1988, and she is a large character in his best-selling memoir Dreams From My Father.

"'Welcome home', Zeituni said, kissing me on both cheeks," Mr Obama wrote.
A relative said Ms Onyango moved to America about eight years ago. For the past five years she has been living in public housing in gritty South Boston.

Asked by The Times how long she had been living in America, she said: "I have been coming to America ever since 1975. I always come and go."

I guess we can expect to hear a hue and cry about this from the predictable quarters, because it pushes all the right buttons- Illegal Immigration, Obamas ethnicity, Welfare dependency and so on. And of course the tantalising prospect- did Obama help her?

Not according to him- he didn't know she was II. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the US though. Will it tip some Undecideds McCains way, or will it be seen as another irrelevance?

I can't believe Obama's campaign knew about this and decided NOT to act.
Then again, if they reported it as an illegal donation and refused it, maybe someone would take notice.

All sounds a bit fishy, but too late in the game to have any impact.

On the other hand, if he knew his aunt was living illegally in the States for FOUR years -- that's huge.

^ I heard the BO campaign changed the website so that the paper trail from donations disappeared. And $260 is a huge contribution for a person on social assistance. But, hey, if she is an II, how is she getting govt handouts? Something smells in the BO camp.
