| To be fair the Johnston woman drug dealer isn't actually related to Palin. Now that the election is over it's also likely that her son won't be required to marry Palin's daughter. You couldn't write better fiction than this real life hillbilly stuff. |

Jesus H. Christ, can you imagine the neo-cons and general thickheads making a huge deal if something similar had happened in Obama's circle if acquaintances? No-one here making a big deal out if this vis-a-vis Palin as this doesn't directly connect her . . . | |

| Palin's connections with this drug-trafficking ring need to be examined further to get to the bottom of it, where there is smoke, there is fire! The MSM are covering up and none of their journos is investigating. The general public has a right to know! |

It seems that Sarah Palin has a newsworthy scandalette for every holiday. For Thanksgiving she was preening in front of a turkey slaughter; for Christmas, she is smack dab in the middle of a felony controlled substances investigation. The New York Times reports on the investigation of Sherry Johnston, the mother of Bristol Palin's supposed fiance: Johnston is the mother of 18-year-old Levi Johnston. Gov. Sarah Palin announced in September that her 18-year-old daughter Bristol was pregnant and Johnston was the father. Authorities say the case began in the second week of September -- a couple of weeks into Palin's campaign as Republican vice presidential candidate -- when drug investigators intercepted a package containing 179 Oxycontin pills. That led to the arrest of the suspects, who agreed to be informants. The rest of the story: http://emptywheel.firedoglake.com/2008/12/26/did-mccainpalin-obstruct-justice-in-the-johnston-case/

| Must be some proud parents (Mr and Mrs. Palin) Monday, December 29, 2008 The latest breaking news from ADN.com: "Gov. Sarah Palin is a grandmother." This poor kid has one hell of a family tree: Gov. Sarah Palin is a grandmother. The baby's name is Tripp, and he was born Sunday, People magazine is reporting. You have to love how media savvy the Palin family has become. People, not the hometown paper, got the scoop. Not that I really care, but are Bristol and Levi married yet? Or was that just a political gimmick? If the right wing theocrats, like Bristol's mother, can obsess over who I could marry, I think Bristol's marriage is fair game for discussion. | The future of the GOP,..too funny! They want to see Sarah Palin as president in 2012 (some of them do). She has set up a political action committee. It is great to see how the right has started to embrace the net (technology),.now they can move their great ideas straight to the public at the speed of stupid. Free speech and the right to dissent,………let’s hear what they have new to say after running America into the ground for the past 8 years. Palin would be a welcome breath of change. The rapists and slavemasters are happily entrenched and their new Obama-puppet happily doing their biding. Going to Harvard isn't such a bad idea! ![]() | |

| ^Misleading statement,…………four years, NO! Published: January 5, 2007 WASHINGTON: In a day of transition and pageantry, exultant Democrats took control of both houses of Congress for the first time in a dozen years and elected the first female speaker of the House. Representative Nancy Pelosi of California took the speaker's gavel at 2:08 p.m. on Thursday from Representative John Boehner of Ohio, the Republican leader, whom she defeated by a vote of 233 to 202, the margin of the new Democratic majority. The House floor and the packed galleries erupted in cheers when the vote was formally announced. Even Republicans grudgingly acknowledged the unprecedented nature of the day on which a woman ascended to power on Capitol Hill by rising to applaud her. ............................ Earlier in the day, on the other side of the Capitol dome, Senator Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada, became majority leader following his party's one-seat victory margin in the November elections. | Sara Palin for Peez in 2112? I would have thought they had enough of electing halfwits after Bush. But of course you never know. All she has got to do is stand on a ticket of bombing some evil defenceless little country that presents an imminent threat to the security of the United States of America, and shes in like flynn. Worked for Bush second time round. Hysteria is a great motivator and the US political spin doctors have got it down pat. |
