| You're not sounding very American-like Milky. Not doing much for CMN's credibility. Wait ... PNM's a merkin too. Another godless wonder. Then there's me ... wilikers CMN, seems your observation isn't holding much water. |

| ^ I know this Tex. I know some Seppo citizens and they don't believe in God either. what I want to know is why politicians don't get laughed at and rendered unemployable owing to the obvious secularism of an awful lot of you. could it be that you are not being entirely honest about the lack of sophistication in your country?

As it relates to Gov. Palin and her policies/beliefs, I must say I have fundamentally different belief's. She is staunchly opposed to; abortion under any circumstances, stem cell research and she is a prototype Christian fundamentalist who believes that "god" is on her side so she must be right. These beliefs are the very things that drive many moderate conservatives away from the GOP and can only result in further dividing an already severely divided country. Unlike McCain, I have heard nothing that convinces me she will be effective at uniting the country.

Many Demos are playing this card. Even Bill Clinton had to play (or chose to play it) by carring a copy of the bible with the "Holy Bible" exposed for photographers, as he'd walk into and out of church during the election cycles. I'm quite sick of it.

Serious. Can you re-state this? Then I can clarify my comments.

| ^ 55555 Show me the link where she said that. Palin gave a great speech tonight (a bit too much emphasis on military stuff, but...). She won't have any probs debating jaw-flapper Biden IMO. |

| I saw something the other day on TV where some one said that 1/4 of Americans consider themselves "Evangelical Christians". Thought that was high, but a quick search today pulled up a wiki site (yeah, only a starting point) that confirms that figure. America (as the wiki article points out) is deeply religious -one of the most religious in the world. To an extent this may reflect the nature of the founding fathers etc - religious "refugees" of one form or another. Anyway, rumage around the site. Scary stuff, but also highlighting why Palin may sell so well.... Religion in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

| Do you mean the oil pipeline, god's will statement. I posted a link to that video yesterday, but by now it's probably on youtube. The god comments for the Iraq war are also on the link I posted. Quote:
As for the debate with Biden. She is being coached and tutored, like all Prez and VP candidates. Extensive fake debates and practice debates, with all kinds of scenarios. I don't expect any candidate, Prez or VP, to flop in the debates. This campaign has gone on so long, that there won't be anything new divulged. It'll be for image, and exposure. Debates? yawwwwn.
