i'm watching the live stream on msnbc, and there's a warm up band doing a cover of a kiss song.

    wtf?

i assume mccain and palin will be out shortly...or maybe the old guy got lost on his way to the stage.

EXACTLY and this is politics at it's best/worst. This move allows those who to vote gender to offset (or compliment) those who are are voting for BHO on solely racial preferences. A good move on McCain's part as she is said to be extreamly competant as well. After all she is governing and providing leadership in management and the running of a state where as BHO has never run anything (except his mouth).

Palin is nice looking....I'd fuck her. Not bad looking, big tits and with a mouth like that you know she swallows. I'm going to vote for her and McOld cause I know they feel the same way..they'd fuck me if they got the chance.

well she was an Alaskan beauty queen.. I know it's sexist but why not pander to the male voters for a change, Clinton got into office by pandering to the female voters the same way and besides she is only VP so it's likely she can gain votes based on that premise since men won't see her as 'being in charge' and resenting it..

John, John , John. What are you thinking? You have just chosen a VP who has been the Governor of Alaska for two years. She has absolutely no experience beyond that. None, nary a bit unless you count her being the mayor of a suburb of an Alaskan city or that she was a runner up in the Miss Alaska Beauty Pageant.

John you are a 72 year old guy! Are you actually asking us to vote for a team that has a VP with absolutely no relevant experience and who is one breath away from the Presidency. You state Obama has no experience and now you select a VP with far less. I never heard of her before and I keep up with these things. Outside of Alaskans, I doubt anyone else has either. John you have ten weeks to show me who she is and what she stands for before I can consider voting for you and her. Obviously, you think a staunch anti abortion female will somehow mysteriously bring pro abortion Hillary supporters to your side but it ain't gonna happen.

I'm looking forward to the debates she'll be having with Biden.

You are forgetting it was Obama's big speech at the Democratic convention that put him in the spotlight before that he was nobody

I am surprised by the surprise pick – or something like that… I must say I think McCain is all wet with this choice – but time will tell.

On the up side I doubt she plagiarized speech after speech, and I hope see does not have a son that works for one of the major lobby groups in Alaska – like the polar bear lobby or something like that?

    WTF is/was McCain thinking?

Alaska? Does Alaska have more than two electoral votes? Maybe McCain has lost the plot?

I can not wait to see the polls next week.......

One thing is for sure who ever wins it will be a first - first minority in the top job, or first lady in the second seat (well if you don't count Monica - was she in the #1 Chair or the #2 Chair when whe was bobbing on billy?).

Who thinks Hillary is happy that another lady is on the ticket?

    ^ Good point, bugs.

I think McCain rolled the dice. As an armchair analyst, I don't think it was the best pick he could have made. Again, we'll wait and see.
