| Thailand Travel Forum | Comrade Obama Answers Your Questions: ![]() Sway: Our next question is from Matt from Iowa: "If your desire is to spread the wealth around, what incentive is there for me to try to work hard? If I am only going to get more taken away from me, the more money I make, why wouldn't I just slide into a life of relaxation and let rich people take care of me? And a lot of people are asking similar questions, and I wanted you to specify. What does this mean exactly?" Obama: What is amazing to me is this whole notion that somehow everybody is just looking out for themselves. I mean, the fact is, we just talked about student loans. When young people who have the drive and the skill to go to college can't afford to go to college, how do you think we pay for scholarships or loan programs? That money doesn't grow on trees. It's got to come from somewhere, and the attitude that I have is that, if we want to grow our economy, the way it grows is from the bottom up. You don't just give tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires. ” Yes, Comrade, amazing, and oh-so quaint, the notion of self reliance. personal responsibility, and freedom. All you good Lefties go here to get those questions answered! ![]() btw - content ripped from this guy...heh

| Thailand Travel Forum | After the Libtards have abolished talk radio with the Unfairness Doctrine and neutered the Internet with Net Neutrality, next on their agenda will probably be country music, starting with Hank Williams Jr., who just doesn't seem to belong in a country under the thumb of an effete socialist elite. Reach-around Ray will be foremost in favor of banning Country Western Music... |

| Montana has now moved from "Leaning" McCain to toss-up. It'd be a nice thump for McCain-Palin to lose Montana. Quote:

| Selamat Datang | Deary, deary BM . . . I am so glad this election is over . . . will you become your normal self again or continue on this road for the next few years? Obama and Communist . . . even Socialist . . . what a total joke. It is as far-fetched as likening McCain to Hiltler or Pinochet. |

| A tad unfair. Both communism and socialism are ideals. Hitler and Pinochet are individuals. It would be like me saying that if you supported communism, you went in for Stalin - when in fact you could be Trotskyite |

Once the winner is declared suddenly the whole behavior shifts to one of making up and getting along both by the combatants in the government and individuals. Booner will be back to his normal self, Tex will support Obama with the same fervor he does GWB, Ray will criticize Obama when he screws up and Milkman will take the I didn't vote for either approach. Other less vocal American's I have failed to mention will also kiss and make up. As for myself, I will remain a pillar of reason and rational debate.

| ^no. But (and, if allowed, I would vote for BO), to a shareholder of a major bank, his 3 month moratorium on mortgage repossessions is nothing short of socialist. His overall ideals may not be - but... |

| ^I think the Bush, Jnr. adminstration has had to face many of the most difficult questions/issues of the last 30-50 years. I also think the administration has failed in every step. I didn't - and do not - agree with the bail-out of Wall Street. Unless we now enter a period of economic growth unseen in 50 years - our kids (unborn) will be paying for our mistakes. But those are only my views |

| Selamat Datang | ^^ well, taking single issues at their face value I don't believe any politician can be classified as being 'this' or 'that'. However, the precedence was set by ridiculously labeling Obama as a communist/socialist . . . My parents were posted to Czechoslovakia in the mid to late 70's (which made me endure my Benedictine Abbey boarding school) . . . and political directions there bear absolutely ZERO resemblance to the 'branding we have here. Communism and Socialism in the US . . . nowhere near it. Spurious approach. |
