| Oliver Stone's Film, "W" Always critical of "movies" being made about history and historical figures, you can get a look at the original screenplay here on pdf. The opening scene is where speechwriters are trying to find a soundbyte. It starts off at "Axis of Hate," but the decide "Axis of Evil" sounds better. According to scholars, some elements of this film are accurate and other parts, just made up. Screenplay: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/...2-w_script.pdf

| From the comments above, I agree. I also see this as some cheap form of "entertainment" or criticism. There are at least 17 books out on George W. Bush, and he isn't even finished in office yet. After his term end, there may be some more honesty and detail about the administration from the senior advisors, etc., who love to pen "memoirs." My point: any movie is limited, and this one will be, too. I'm not an Oliver Stone fan when it comes to 1. history and 2. historical stuff, he's done. I did like Wall Street and its main writer is the same guy who has written "W." |

| Hardly a failure Butterfy - W become a two term yank pressie and that alone is an amazing accomplishment. Stone makes entertaining movies however you need to suspend your disbelief because for the most part its all fiction. Wall Street, Platoon, Alexander were his best, and I liked World Trade Center too. |

Note, that both elections were razor tight, and 2000 was disputed and Ohio in 2004 was dubious. Nevertheless, GWB did win. | |

| I'm not a fan of Stone, and I don't like "biography" movies, but this film will be released before the election, in less than 5 months. It won't mean much, IMO, but it'll be interesting perhaps. Quote:

| Not all. Where did your read this? I don't plan on watching it, but it'll be out in less than 4 months. I have read interviews from the cast, crew, and writers. It's not a polemic. Although I'll listen carefully for some biases, which may, or may not - be in the film. |
