Yeah and her face. A face that's had so much plastic surgery and botox it looks more over stretched than the US Military.

Not by then, anyway. I got high for just the opposite effect, something that could push questions of who I was out of my mind, something that could flatten out the landscape of my heart, blur the edges of my memory. I had discovered that it didn't make any difference whether you smoked reefer in the white classmate's sparkling new van, or in the dorm room of some brother you'd met down at the gym, or on the beach with a couple of Hawaiian kids who had dropped out of school and now spent most of their time looking for an excuse to brawl. ...You might just be bored, or alone. Everybody was welcome into the club of disaffection." -- Barack Obama

Limbaugh Caller Says Obama Reminds Daughter of Cartoon Monkey

Quote:
ABC News' Tahman Bradley Reports: Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh issued an on-air apology to Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., today after a caller said her daughter thought the Democratic presidential frontrunner looked like the cartoon character Curious George, a monkey.
Limbaugh, who laughed at the caller's comments, later apologized explaining he didn't know anything about Curious George.
Quote:
"I've got to do something here to open this hour of today's excursion into broadcast excellence. I need to apologize to both Sen. Obama and to Sen. McCain, " said Limbaugh. "I had never heard of Curious George. Only now have staffers sent me little pictures of Curious George," he continued.

It happened. I laughed about it. It was a 12 year old kid's reaction to Obama, it was told by his mother. I was laughing because I was being polite, but I had never heard of Curious George."
Quote:
Limbaugh made a broader, perhaps more serious observation about political correctness and what can and cannot be said about a black man seeking the presidency of the United States. "I'm doing this as an illustration for you of how really uptight and tense everybody is going to be with any kind of criticism of Barack Obama on the Republican side," he said. "If Obama is the nominee, we may set a record for the number of apologies to him and his campaign by various Republicans and so forth."

Oh that. This is a major concern I have as well and not to be dismissed lightly. Double jeopardy in the US. A black man going against big corporate lobbies spells high risk way beyond even that of Robert Kennedy. If he should be killed, the fallout would be devastating to all facets of the US domestic situation.

^Norton, yes I thought that was also an intelligent and very insightful (if scary) prediction by Jet.

We really haven't had something like this mooted since the Kennedy days.

Genuine question, I thought his campaign funding came from the same corporate sources like everyone else's?

Throughout the campaign he has pointed out on many occasions that unlike Hillary's large corporate donors, his funds have come from individual small donors. He has also constantly spoke on his change platform as it relates to business as usual where a Congress is controlled by special interest lobbyists groups.

^^ Keep up, Strollums (which I know you do, smarta**). For a $4.99 donation in loose pennies, Obama will make you a campaign headquarter chief.

Ya, I told you I get his campaign e-mails everyday. They always ask for a $25 donation. He's after grass roots support, but I reckon he's being bankrolled by some big money, too. (Something to check)

I am sure he is, I read about it somewhere.
I'll look it up if nobody else has the info handy.
He might have ruffled a few feathers here and there, but basically he is in big business' pockets in my estimation.

^ His campaign seems to espouse that the cash is all coming from the regular folks, but I guess you could call an oil company CEO a regular kinda guy. That's what it is, Stroll. Not companies per se, but the owner/chiefs thereof. You'e right, there were some articles about that...
