Yes, Cindy McCain is a crack whore who presides over an impressive business empire. And, from what I've seen, she's increased not only the valuation of the empire, as all Chairmen should do, but also the social consciousness of it, like all idealists advocate.

Seems like the ideal CEO to me.

well, well, well.

i asked for anyone to provide evidence that michelle obama had benefited from afirmative action, and jet provided the below.....

with most things involving jet it just didn't smell right. so i took a few minutes this afternoon and read the entire article. let's take a look at this in context.....

Michelle recalls things differently. A campaign spokeswoman says she had an edge getting into Princeton not because of affirmative action, but because her older brother was there as a scholar athlete. She was a "legacy," just like any other applicant with family ties to Princeton. Her aides say Michelle earned her way into Harvard on merit by distinguishing herself at Princeton.

Michelle did well enough at Harvard to land a job at Sidley & Austin, a blue-chip corporate-law firm in Chicago
needless to say jet, this is very disappointing. not surprising, but disappointing. and what's worse, on another thread your referred to it as a "newsweek quote".

nice try jet. do us all a favor and raise your game, OK?

take your divisive, race baiting tactics elsewhere....oh, hold on, why would you do that? they're quite popular here in the issues section of TD.

now then, can anyone provide evidence that michelle obama benefited from affirmative action?

and btw, i fully support affirmative action and don't believe that those who have benefited from should feel any level of shame.

OK, she got an edge in coz of her brother, who was there on a basketball scholarship (note, not an academic scholarship). hehe And she also benefited from affirmative action. One quote says she did, Michelle and her "aides de camp" say she didn't (too proud to fess up?). Ya, right. Maybe she just signed up for the women's basketball team.

i have no doubt you'll keep trying though.....and then just make things up again if/when you can't.

If Obama gets elected, I suspect we'll have no end of the jokes. That's good, we need a little light-hearted levity in Washington finally, in addition to good Obama leadership.

I suspect Barak and Michelle will also find humor in it. It's only the politically constipated Über-leftists who will fail to laugh.

I personally look forward to the crack-ho jokes, as some have already mooted on this forum about whitey cracker Cindy McCain.

This could be a fun 4 or 8 years.

Doubt you'll get many of those in the mainstream PC world. Absolutely hilarious watching the CNN folks stumble for words to say "black" or "white" when trying to describe what's going on. Sure Obama's presidency will spawn a whole new set of euphemisms.

^Not sure what they'll come up with for Michelle. She can be quite elegant, but at base, she still looks like a big monkey. Something about her features and facial expressions.
