| Thailand Travel Forum | Obama is now calling Bloggers Liars for accurately reporting his words. One doesn't have to wear a flag pin to be patriotic but what is interesting is his answers. eh? And, he states he 'sometimes wears one'. Any photographic proof of that? Obama on his refusal to wear a flag pin, now: Obama then referred to the time last October, when a Cedar Rapids, Iowa, TV reporter asked him why he didn’t wear a flag pin.Barack Obama on his refusal to wear a flag pin, then: (What Obama said last October was: “You know, the truth is that right after 9/11, I had a pin. Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we’re talking about the Iraq War, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security, I decided I won’t wear that pin on my chest. Instead, I’m going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testimony to my patriotism.”)

| the bloggers are obsessed with 1. obama's pastor, 2. a guy who served of the board of directors for some charity with him, and 3. whether or not he wears a flag pin. good luck. americans are worried about the economy (which john mccain has admitted he doesn't know anything about) and iraq (where john mccain has said he'd keep troops for the next hundred years. when obama wins the nomination, it'll be a cake walk in november. if clinton somehow takes it away from him, it'll be harder for her to win in november, but i still think she'll get it done. |

More likely the voters will have had a bellyfull of Obama's lack of experience, associations with shady folks and his overbearing arrogance by November. At any rate, Denver will be interesting. Perhaps we'll be treated to another Chicago-esq liberal dementia again? Heh... | |

| Thailand Travel Forum | Fact checking the BO/Ayers connection gets more interesting! It seems his cover-up of just what he was doing on that 'Board' with the unrepentant bomber, Ayers, is proving to be more grist for the mill! JustOneMinute: Just Fact-Checking |

| Thailand Travel Forum | Heh...BO's pathetic attempt to distance himself from Wright in the press conference he gave today - "Outraged" he was! ![]() What makes this latest episode so snort-worthy is that it’s simply unbelievable that he did not know about Wright’s views until yesterday. To give just one example out of many: Wright traveled to Libya with Louis Farrakhan and met Muammar Gaddafi. Are we supposed to believe that BO never even heard of it? ![]() |

| ^ Frankly, are we supposed to care? In the rarefied world of the Right Wing Blogosphere, some Pastors comments assume a greater importance than- the needless deaths of around 1 milion people in Iraq, the botched operation to find bin Laden, than the collapse of the USD, than high level corporate political and business corruption and cronyism, than the indebted US government, than the sub Prime and real estate collapse that is hitting real people right now. And so on. The republicans have had eight years to stuff up the US, and have succeeded. I think the people of the US are looking for solutions to the mess. The republican blogosphere responds by devoting more hysteria to some Pastor, or where Barack went to school, and totally ignores the real issues. Doesn't bode well for your presidential contender. As I've already noted, the smell of your fear and panic is tangible. don't worry boys- it won't be that bad, life goes on and all that. You've managed to survive 8 years of the Bush administration. America, I believe, is looking forward to a change of government.

| Thailand Travel Forum | Absolutely, if you want a POTUS who is a 'uniter' vs. the 'divider' BO appears to be. All those points you listed, sabang, are extremely important issues that need to be addressed but before we can, the trust has to be there and frankly, BO has turned off a very large segment of the voting public.
