Well, Ray, here's how your precious pussy ass Democrats are treating their best candidate:

Where are Dem "Leaders" While Barack Twists and Hillary Burns the Party Down?

Quote:
For four days now Barack Obama has stood all but alone, valiantly defending himself against charges of elitism from multi-millionaires Bill and Hillary Clinton and dozens of their surrogates, untold numbers of Republicans, and the bulk of the media.

Where has the leadership of the Democratic Party been during these relentless attempts to slander and destroy the electability of their likely Presidential nominee? About the only Democrat to publicly step forward to defend Obama is Bob Casey. Where is Nancy Pelosi? Where is John Edwards? Where is Al Gore? Where is Ted Kennedy? Where is Howard Dean, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, Bill Richardson, John Kerry, Rahm Emanuel, Jim Webb, Chuck Schumer, Wesley Clark, and untold others.
Quote:
It's not a matter of whether a Democratic leader has endorsed Obama, Clinton, or is still officially neutral. The son of an absent father and a single mother--a man who, despite massive student loans, graduated from one Ivy League college to take a job for $8,000 a year helping unemployed steelworkers in Chicago; who chose to go from Harvard Law Review, not to a Wall Street law firm where he could soon earn millions advising corporation on how to offshore jobs and avoid taxes, but to a small civil rights firm in Chicago; who has devoted his entire adult life to helping the underdog--stands accused by the wealthy and powerful of elitism while leading Democrats stand silently by.

try to keep that in mind.
Indeed - long way till November.

If I was a bettn' man I'd bet that what happens between now and November will have more impact on who gets elected than what has happened up until now (from things the candidates can control and from things changing that they cannot control).

Plenty of time for any of the candidates to sink their own ship.

Problem tends to be that rather than making sure they each sail the course they all tend to work too hard on sinking each others ships. Like watching a school election rather than an election for who will run the nation - fookn' pitiful much of the time.

Right where they always are. Lurking in the background to see which direction the voters are heading then quick as a flash run in front of them and claim what great leaders they are. Bloody pack of spineless, self serving creatures.

Same thing happened to McCain on the Republican side when they were all running him down or at best keeping arms distance. Once he had the voters behind him, they starting gushing about what a wonderful candidate he is.

if clinton does not blow out obama (20 points +) in each of the following three contests, i think party 'elders' will make "behind the scenes" contact with the clintons and ask her to step aside. if she rebuffs them, they may very well go public....and once that happens, she's officially toast because her only remaining chance at the nomination is having the superdelegates override the voters.

Yeh, Politicians are spineless.

Obama does have his work cut out in Pennsylvania though- this was always going to be the the case, although the much hyped comments he made in SF haven't helped.

Heh...where else would he find a gathering of like-minded moonbats besides SF & other assorted enclaves along the east coast - maybe Austin, TX.

Those 'comments' are resonating big-time throughout middle America. Come November...we'll just have to see if it'll be a blow-out ala McGovern style or perhaps another Mondale or Dukakis debacle...heh

how many polls have you cited in the last few weeks?

and what's worse is that they were usually daily tracking polls done by foxnews' resident poller rasmussen.

They are relevant when suitable for bashing Clinton or Obama, and will be more so at times when MCCain figures look good.

this thread is about obama's priorities, right? well, here's one...

Quote:
Obama said that as president he would indeed ask his new Attorney General and his deputies to "immediately review the information that's already there" and determine if an inquiry is warranted -- but he also tread carefully on the issue, in line with his reputation for seeking to bridge the partisan divide. He worried that such a probe could be spun as "a partisan witch hunt." However, he said that equation changes if there was willful criminality, because "nobody is above the law."
Obama would ask his AG to "immediately review" potential of crimes in Bush White House | Philadelphia Daily News | 04/14/2008
