^ CMN, like the rest of us, we may have to wait until lat in the night of November 4, th Tuesday (Wednesday, our time) to find out who wins.

But what's so difficult about these national polls - if - they are done correctly is that the electoral college works in a different (but related) way.

I think it's up in the air for now............

Seems a majority of white America, according to rc's poll, don't think blacks are friendly, good neighbors, hard working, industrious, good students...

Does that mean Obama's screwed? The blacks can't carry him.

CMN: you really need to brush up on your chart reading skills.

None of the groups represented in the chart had favorable opinions of blacks regardless of political affiliation.

Yes, and one thing about this poll.

Having an "unfavorable" view of Black does not mean that someone will not cast a vote for Obama.

(At least I didn't see that in the article. Did I miss it?)

Will negative opinions of Black keep the 30% of Democrats from voting for Obama?

I guess we'd have to see polling data, if it's even possible to get accurate data on this because people are not forthright in their answers on these topics.

As things stand, and now that the issue of colour has enetered the debate (here), I do believe that McCain will win the election. . . for all the wrong reasons . . . Palin being one of them, a candidate brought in to win the election, not to govern.

The US is not ready for a 'black' president and will vote that way. I wish I were wrong, and we shall see, I hope I am.
