Watched the Republican debate on CNN and thought Romney did a much better job than McCain. Huckabee was by far the best overall communicator as he has been throughout but still really has little chance of going much further in the race. Paul was his usual single issue guy. Small government and get out of global police forcing. McCain seems to be doing well in pulling the Republican political endorsements to him. Arnold has now said he will endorse McCain which will help him in Calif.

McCain doesn't have the charisma (sorry, who already talked about that?) that Obama has -- star power. People are flocking to him and they are proud of him. Hilde is coming across as a harsh, brittle hag. If Obama can keep on the straight and narrow, maintain his honest persona and charm, he'll get in, if he ain't picked off first. VP...thought the rumour was Obama would appoint Edwards as attorney general (ohmegod). Wonder if Hilde would go for VP? Nah.

When hell freezes over. She already did eight years as second fiddle in the White House. Her ego wouldn't fit in the VP mansion. Obama - Gulliani? Obama - Limbaugh? Obama - Oprah?

^actually that's a bloody good point. If BO got the nomination, it would not totally surprise me if he went with a liberal Republican as VP. He wrote in one of his books that he wished more people would see across party lines... ...hmm, that would be interesting

^ ^^ don't count on it. if he doesn't pick edwards (and i hope he does) he'll choose someone moderate from the mid-west....but most certainly a democrat. think along of the lines of evan bayh from indiana....he's a clinton supporter, but that's the mold he'll choose.
