Quite a few posters here see the candidates for what they are. Obama -- inexperienced, smooth, platform of change McCain -- old, been around the block, aware of his party's unpopularity Biden -- frumpy, tenured, complimentary to ticket Palin -- bizarre, young, fresh-faced You, on the other hand, seem to have jumped into the Dem pool head first without an inkling of reservation. Ivor Biggun -- I've entered several countries without a passport as a member of the US military -- including yours, multiple times. Last edited by Texpat : 07-09-2008 at 02:26 PM.

Would you please explain it to me again ? If your in charge of the new World Order you definitely need a passport to visit all these countries that you are taking care of. Unless you are looking for weapons of mass destruction...then you are right.... If you are standing in front of my frontdoor with a M16 I would'nt bother asking for your ID. Actually what I was trying to say is that Palin probably does'nt know which country London, Berlin, Paris belong to. Not to mention who is the prime minister or president of those countries.

Traveling on a military plane, getting off it to shake some soldiers hands, is not what I call experience in foreign policy. I hope history repeats itself. In the 1984 Miss Alaska contest, Sarah Palin lost to Marilyne Blackburn, the first African-American Miss Alaska.

| Most polls still have Obama in the lead, there is one out there that has it tied up. And Zogby has McCain now in the lead. Here are a few polls: http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/po...ity%20poll.pdf This one appears to be attempting to tell the blue team how they can make-up some ground on the national security issue. But what they say seems to be exactly what the blue team has already been doing, and they have been loosing ground. From the linky: Quote:

| This one is from NBC/WSJ: http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/i/msnbc/se...J_Released.pdf Basics has Obama (45) leading McCain (42). But the intersting bit is the break-down in regard to issues. Here is the basics in the issues break-down; Obama Better/ McCain Better - issue: Quote:
With these kinds of results I think if I were running things from the blue team I would minimize comments related to the areas they poll poorly on - like Iraq and Iran, and even bin Laden and Afghanistan (terrorism). Try to kep the focus on the economy. On the flip side for McCain I think they need to attack the lead Obama has right now on the economy.

| Thailand Travel Forum | BO Suddenly Remembers: He Almost Joined the Military! ![]() ![]() ![]() He’s never mentioned it before, not even in two autobiographies, but Barack Obama has suddenly remembered that he considered joining the military. Obama disclosed that he had once considered serving in the military. Last edited by Boon Mee : 08-09-2008 at 07:03 AM. |
