| Thailand Travel Forum | You heard about that huge crowd that turned out for BO in Oregon? What many news reports forgot to mention was BO was immediately preceded by a free concert by a very popular band. That band, The Decemberists, is known for using the National Anthem of the Soviet Union as an introduction at their concerts. OK...

| This book by Neo-Con Fareed Zakaria is about the current and coming changes in the world. This book is not negative towards the US in any way. It discusses the ramifications of China, India, Asia, and many other issues. Have YOU read the book, Boon? I'm waiting for YOUR opinion.

i doubt you'll answer, but it seems clear that the neo-con agenda has put the 'state of israel experiment' at great risk. of course obama's reaction was not over the top....whatever happened to leaving domestic politics at the water's edge? but in the end GWB only damaged the GOP with his phony posturing. appeasement? who's negotiating with N. korea? who's negotiating with qadaffi? and for christ's sake who's even negotiating with iran (about iraq)? answer: the bush administration.

Well, she and Billy boy must have a grand plan to sew up the VP slot through all this. That would be a terribly disappointing sell-out by Obama and may cause me to switch my support to McCain if he sells out like that. That would be effectively a totally emasculated campaign by Obama caving into the Clintons. He would then live with the monkey on his back (Hilary), and the fox in the henhouse (Bill), in the White House for the next 4 years. Emasculated and unable to effect leadership. Hardly a good follow up to the Bush fiasco.

| Hillary wins big in Kentucky, Obama wins big in Oregon!! Sounds like a draw but Obama has clinched majority of pledged delegates and now cannot be overtaken by Hillary. Expect to see uncommitted super delegates who have said they will support the candidate with the majority of pledged delegates go to Obama in the next week.

| “The claws come out” – looks like the Dems might really end up a bit divided come November. If the super delegates over turn the popular vote they will also be over turning the black vote. IMO this will lead to a significantly reduced black voter turn out come Nov. On the other hand if the super delegates do what most expect them to do and give the nod to Obama then it looks like they will diminish the lead they have had in the women’s vote. The Kentucky exit polls have Hillary supports once again saying if she is not in the top spot for the blue team come November they will either vote for McCain or not vote at all: Quote:
http://www.suntimes.com/news/sweet/961845,052108sweetweb.article Now we got a Steve Corbett call (real or ratings spin-up?) for folks to not fall in line as the blue team leaders urge everyone to back Obama: Quote:

Video clip about "Clinton Supporters Count Too" http://hillary1000.wordpress.com/2008/05/20/abc-news-cynthia-ruccia-and-clinton-supporters-count-too/ A couple of Blogs about "Clinton Supporters Count Too" http://hillary1000.wordpress.com/2008/05/17/clinton-supporters-count-too/ http://blog.hillary-clintons-voice.com/ Thinks could get pretty ugly for the blue team before this is all over. Then again the groups might be just fringe folks that won’t count for much or won’t have the backbone to do what they say they will do and come November will fall in line and vote for the blue team no matter what.

""This is not a book about the decline of America, but rather about the rise of everyone else." So begins Fareed Zakaria's important new work on the era we are now entering. Following on the success of his best-selling The Future of Freedom, Zakaria describes with equal prescience a world in which the United States will no longer dominate the global economy, orchestrate geopolitics, or overwhelm cultures. He sees the "rise of the rest"—the growth of countries like China, India, Brazil, Russia, and many others—as the great story of our time, and one that will reshape the world. The tallest buildings, biggest dams, largest-selling movies, and most advanced cell phones are all being built outside the United States. This economic growth is producing political confidence, national pride, and potentially international problems. How should the United States understand and thrive in this rapidly changing international climate? What does it mean to live in a truly global era? Zakaria answers these questions with his customary lucidity, insight, and imagination." The Post-American World by Fareed Zakaria

| Obama flaunting anti-American propaganda in public! And certainly not to read it, well beyond the understanding of a 'coon' who got his degrees through racist discrimination against the Whites. Heh! |
