^Nah, I would say she favors Belize with an offshore trust in Jersey, and some holdings in Luxembourg or Lichtenstein perhaps.

^ That's too damn funny. But, you know what, I heard Viet wants to develop an offshore private banking practice, so maybe you're right! Jane Fonda private banking in Vietnam.

Oh, the irony of it all....

i don't know about the rest of you, but after that exchange i feel like i need to take a shower.

anyway, more bad news for mccain....not only will republicans be writing in ron paul's name, the libertarian have an official candidate....
Quote:
WASHINGTON - Former Republican Rep. Bob Barr launched a Libertarian Party presidential bid Monday, saying voters are hungry for an alternative to the status quo who would dramatically cut the federal government. His candidacy throws a wild card into the White House race that many believe could peel away votes from Republican Sen. John McCain given the candidates' similar positions on fiscal policy.
Barr, who has hired Ross Perot's former campaign manager, acknowledged that some Republicans have tried to discourage him from running.

"Change" has been a slogan for a long time in Presidential elections. The polling reveals that the world "change" is a popular term and concept - especially when the economy is in a slump.

Inside the beltway or out of it, "change" is often used during the election season.

^Milky, I think the only true change agent this election is Obama. It would be fascinating if he further defied logic by picking a republican VP running mate, someone like Hagel. Now, that would be really bucking partisan traditions!

I agree, CT.

I am interesting in who Obama will choose (assuming he'll be the Nom).

I am guestimating that in the month of June it will be Obama as the nominee. He's got the momentum and the math behind him.

^Yeah, as much as I would like to see him pick someone like Hagel, and truly heal the rifts between the parties, I don't see how the Demo leadership will let him pick anyone outside the party. Dream on.

Maybe sooner IMO. All the indications are there.

Obama has already begun his run against McCain if his WV, campaign speech's are an indicator. Not a mention of Hillary with all aimed at McCain's policies. To her credit Hillary is now taking shots at McCain with nothing much to say about Obama.

The Clintons might have offshore bank accounts, but could George Bush have done even better with a 100,000-acre estate in Paraguay? (unsubstantiated, as are reports of the Clinton accounts):

"Back in late 2006, it was widely reported in the Latin American media that President Bush, or perhaps his old man, had bought a 100,000-acre farm in a remote area of Paraguay. What struck people at the time was the choice of country. Paraguay, of course, has gained a certain Club Med status among the world's villains and criminal elements as the place to go when the law's on your tail...."
