| In spite of the arguments all have seen in my posts, I am..... "gasp".... a registered Republican who happens to believe America is in dire need of leadership which will take it away from the partisan politics and ill considered consequences of both domestic and foriegn policies we have seen for the last sixteen years. Yes I did say sixteen because even though things went pretty well for Hillary's hubby, he and Dems in congress are to some degree responsible for the sad state America finds itself in today as regards to ill considered foriegn policy. For those who think America is doing just fine, by all means cast your vote for McCain because his Economic and Foreign policies will ensure we will get a continuation of those under GWB's administration. For those who think there needs to be a profound change then Obama is the only one who has both the policies and leadership charisma to have any hope of making the changes needed. IMO, Hillary is finished and the Dems will pull together under an Obama candidacy who will defeat McCain in the Presidential run. Let's not forget, the long Dem primary has a silver lining for the Dems. They continue to bring huge numbers of registered Dems into the process increasing their already large lead over the Republicans. The number of Hillary supporters that will not vote for Obama will not be even close to 50% as advertised in current polls. Hillary still has a political future and as much as she will not take defeat easily, she will do all she can to make sure her supporters vote the Dem ticket in November. Even the Republican strategists know they have an incredible challenge beating Obama and IMO it is a challenge they will not overcome no matter how hard they attempt their oft used character assassination tactic.

| Thailand Travel Forum | BO's leadership style is not encouraging. A BO staffer says Obama is all wise and all knowing. ""It wasn't like 'Let's have a discussion.' It was 'One, two, three, four, here's what we're going to do,' " a staffer said. "When things don't go well, he doesn't yell and scream. He's very prescriptive. Everybody understands this isn't about having a discussion. He's got 99 percent of the voting shares. There's no point in taking a vote." Sounds good if you're running an offshore drilling operation but POTUS can't possibly be all-knowing, eh? Ronald Regan came about as close as any of them - recent ones that is. washingtonpost.com - nation, world, technology and Washington area news and headlines

| ^ good article booner, but you overlooked mentioning that Obamas support amongst White voters is the same as Kerry. When you add his overwhelming lead amongst black voters, it's frankly looking like a stroll to the Oval office for Obama at this point. |

| Thailand Travel Forum | One of Barack Obama’s Middle East policy advisers disclosed that he had held meetings with Hamas. Now, the likely Democratic nominee is forced to sever all links...heh Why do all these terror-sympathizing radicals keep thinking BO is one of them, huh? | The screw tightens. Expect avalanche to follow after next primary. "Obama added superdelegates from Utah, Ohio and Arizona, as well as two from the Virgin Islands who had previously backed Clinton. The additions enabled Obama to surpass Clinton's total for the first time in the campaign. He had picked up nine endorsements Friday." Obama overtakes lead in superdelegates for first time - Yahoo! Anyway, the point is, Americans have a habit of topping their leaders. Add in to the mix Martin Luther King's and Malcolm X's unhappy endings and Jet's little bee in her bonnet about Obama doesn't seem so weird.

| ^ Don't forget JFK and Bobby. Reagan almost got topped. As did Alabama senator George Wallace, who was left paralysed. And there's many more. Actually, it seems I'm the little bee in many people's bonnets these days. Not allowed to have an opinion or make your own statement without some liberal press backing these days, it seems. And yep, Obama is a target for a psycho killer, IMO. (Better ensure I add IMO after everything I say now.) Look how (in)famous the person would become. |
