These Clintons are very smart. They've played Fox News as much as Fox News has played them. They've kept Hilary alive. Don't count Hilary out yet.

| Big win for Obama but delegates split 2/2. (CNN) — Barack Obama has won the Guam Democratic caucuses by a margin of 7 votes. With all of Guam’s precincts reporting, Obama won 2,264 votes (50.1 percent) to 2,257 votes (49.9 percent) for Hillary Clinton, his sole remaining rival for the Democratic presidential nomination. Obama led the vote count throughout the day and had a 52.7 percent to 47.3 percent advantage over Clinton by late afternoon. Clinton then won the sole remaining precinct — Guam’s largest village of Dededo — by a 61.9 percent to 38.1 percent margin, which brought her to within 7 votes of Obama in the overall tally. Polls closed at 6 a.m. eastern time Saturday, but vote counting on the U.S. territory took over 13 hours to finalize. Obama and Clinton will split the U.S. territory's four pledged delegate votes evenly, with two apiece. The win gives Obama his 31st victory of the campaign, including his win in the Texas caucuses in March. Clinton has won 16 contests, including the Texas primary. The battle for the Democratic nomination next heads to Indiana and North Carolina, which both will hold primaries on Tuesday. CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time - Blogs from CNN.com |

| Sundance is my bff | Super Tuesday results are almost in. Obama has won N. Carolina, and Indiana is a close race, with Hilary leading slightly, but he's only trailing her by 2 percentage points. Hilary has not capitalized on the big momentum shift she forecasted, and the Wright fiasco seems not to have damaged Obama. Many people are saying that Obama has closed the deal now, and Superdelegates should now throw behind Obama. If Hilary keeps at it, she'll just tear the party apart. |

I see it your way. But Hillary has been quoted today as saying, to paraphrase, here campaign will continue at "full speed." I don't think she can close in on the delegate count, including the Supers.

| Hillary loses more ground as the gap widens. Obama gains +16 pledged delegates between Indiana and NC. Think it's more full speed reverse. I think the Wright episode while not a catastrophe, did just enough to prevent Obama from winning in Indiana. All up hill for Hillary from now on. She again is in need of funds to continue. Doubt she'll get much support in future states. Noticed in her victory speech she emphasized how she would support Obama should he be the candidate and assured all the Dems would be united against McCain. I think she has finally realized her goose is cooked. Expect much movement within the super delegates between now and next primary. |

| Sundance is my bff | ^Yeah, one nail in her coffin is the fact that she's now perceived as a sinking ship. Donors consider giving money to her at this point as throwing it down the toilet. Her funds should dry up now. *HOWEVER, Fox news is now predicting she has won Indiana by the slimmest of margins. Here she goes toward destroying the party. Hilary has said she is going for broke. I suppose she means broken party. Scorched earth policy. Brill. Last edited by chinthee : 07-05-2008 at 04:28 PM. |

![]() Even the Democrats admit that BO can't win with just the so-called 'egg head' & Negro vote. BO's lost a significant portion of the Democrat base.

| Sundance is my bff | ^You do have a good point. The blue collar white vote still eludes Obama, and many, including myself wonder how he can get it. I suppose they will pick the right running mate to do that, and Hilary would be that. But can you imagine morning staff meetings with Hilary spitting venom for the next 8 years? ![]() |

1. simply because whites making under 50 k/year supported clinton in the primary contests doesn't mean they won't vote for obama in november over mccain. 2. for any number of reasons obama will never select clinton as his VP. 3. i doubt clinton would take the job if offered....savvy prognosticators have her leaving the senate and running for gov of NY.

| Sundance is my bff | ^Ray, you neglect the fact that Hilary supporters are strident and upon poll after poll have firmly stated they will not support Obama if he wins. That is troubling. Yes, Dems do traditionally line up behind the nominee, but I question that in this tremendously divisive primary battle. And, yes, I agree, Obama will tell her to pound sand for her dirty pool. She won't even get a post in the administration anywhere. She'll be left in the cold. But, I do question which running mate could attract those blue collars..... |
