| Senior Member | ^ With an unrepentant bomber as his friend as well as the Wright POS? Yep, this Obama is a real strong candidate for the White House! ![]() Hugh Hewitt documents the "mainstream Chicago couple" Ayers and Dohrn, and offers compelling audio. His judgment: “ Barack Obama seems like a very nice guy with a good heart and a wonderful family. He is obviously bright and extremely well spoken. He's a down-the-line leftist with the most left-leaning voting record in the Senate from 2005-2006. But of even more concern than his ideas is the fact that his judgment about people and ideas is terribly flawed

| Indeed Stroller. It worries some of you, even though you will not come out and elucidate it, but Obama is a class act, and the other contenders are not. As stated, the fact he is half black is irrelevent. Or should be. And if you are reduced to calling him a 'Commie', it seems to me you have already lost the election.

| Sundance is my bff | Here's an interesting angle to the race: Can McCain Win Over Women Voters? He's perceived as a moderate Republican, his position on abortion has been more flexible than that of President Bush and he's surrounded by powerful women in his family. ![]() John McCain's positions on abortion and equal pay legislation do not seem likely to help him close the gender gap, but he has a chance to win more female voters than George Bush in 2000 and 2004. (AP/ABC News) Does Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., have the ability to attract women voters back to the Republican Party -- even if he ends up running against Hillary Clinton, the first female presidential nominee? Or will the gender gap continue? Women have been more likely than men to vote for Democratic presidential candidates in every election since 1980. McCain trails the New York senator and her Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois among female voters in the most recent polls. And last week, he came under fire from some women's groups for skipping a vote on equal pay legislation supported by Clinton and Obama. ABC News: Can McCain Win Over Women Voters? I suppose the democratic party is getting ready to hammer him on this issue. The party is being forced to ratchet up the rhetoric against McCain as the Hilary/Obama battle stretches on too long giving McCain an easy breather. |

What are you smoking down there in OZ, sabang? Obama is an articulate speaker is all. Possibly just a snake-oil salesman. What has he accomplished in his short life? Went to Africa to visit his commie father, lived for a spell in Indonesia and went to Harvard. Bid deal. He does have some real suspect 'friends' though, eh? ![]() | |

| Achievements, I can think of quite a few- Obama graduated summa cum laude from Harvard, and was the first and only black editor of the Harvard law Review. He then, rather than going strait for the big money available, took a job in a public service role, helping the poor. He was elected to the Senate at a young age. Now he's running for Pres. So, Erm, whats that pleasant old chap McCain achieved? Dunno what you're smoking booner, but I live in Thailand, & haven't been in Oz for over two years. |

| Senior Member | ^ It's not rhetoric CT but plain, simple facts. In the words of Thomas Sowell: "Obama is part of a long tradition on the left of being for the working class in the abstract, or as people potentially useful for the purposes of the left, but having disdain or contempt for them as human beings. Karl Marx said, ‘The working class is revolutionary or it is nothing.’ In other words, they mattered only in so far as they were willing to carry out the Marxist agenda. Fabian socialist George Bernard Shaw included the working class among the ‘detestable’ people who ‘have no right to live.’ He added: ‘I should despair if I did not know that they will all die presently, and that there is no need on earth why they should be replaced by people like themselves’.” -- Thomas Sowell. The Digest, Patriot Post Vol. 08 No. 17 - Published 25 April 2008 Obama has demonstrated his contempt for the working-class and those who "cling to their Religion". He's dead-meat to them now - to wit; 75% of Catholics who voted in the Pennsylvania primary voted for Hillary. |

| Senior Member | Well, back to Obama's character...or lack of one which is going to prove to be the deciding factor in the race. This guy came out of nowhere with an autobiography already written Then "came the three amigos: Tony Rezko, the indicted fixer; Jeremiah Wright, the racist reverend; William Ayers, the unrepentant terrorist." Sure doesn't look 'presidential' to the casual observer. These are not "non-issues" my friends. This guy is a wrong-O for sure. Check out: Townhall.com::The "Distractions" Of Obama's Character::By Charles Krauthammer There's going to be a ground-swell reaction to these character flaws outlined and rest to come, I'm sure. |

| Ah, ok. Your questions have been answered and your false statements repeatedly debunked, but never mind, lets cook it all up again and present it from a different angle. "Character flaws", right. Quote:
