| ^ Um, no. Why are you picking on Boeing? Boeing is based in Seattle, technically not cowboy country. If you are noting that Boeing gets govt help, hey, let's take a look at all the handouts Airbus has been getting from the EU. Boeing is a key employer that not only builds passenger planes but defense aircraft for the US armed forces. Under US law, military equipment cannot be purchased from foreign sources, so Boeing makes alot of money from defense contracts. |

Airbus CEO rejects US controversy over tanker contract 1 day ago WASHINGTON (AFP) — The boss of Airbus on Friday moved to tamp down a US controversy sparked when the Pentagon awarded a refueling tanker mega-contract to the European aviation giant, citing the growing globalization of the aerospace sector. In a telephone interview with AFP, Chief Executive Officer Tom Enders did not rule out the planned plant in Mobile, Alabama one day manufacturing equipment other than the tankers committed to the air force and A330 cargo jets. But Enders rejected criticism from some US lawmakers that awarding the 35-billion-dollar contract to the cross-Atlantic consortium of European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS) --of which Airbus is a subsidiary -- and Northrop Grumman instead of US manufacturer Boeing Company would mean the loss of US jobs. "That is ridiculous," he said, indicating that EADS and Northrop Grumann "will invest roughly 600 million dollars all in all into these facilities" in the proposed plant site in Mobile, where Enders was celebrating the deal with colleagues. | Let me see if I've got this straight: Hillary Clinton has been running ads suggesting that Barak Obama is incapable of handling 3am 'red phone' emergencies in the White House because of his inexperience. And now she's offering him the vice presidency, where he will be one heartbeat away from answering the same red phone. Hillary's a power-crazed woman who's getting very desperate. |

| I don't think a Hillary/Obama ticket will work, no matter who is VP. It's common knowledge they hate each other. Obama/Edwards would be interesting. |

| Yes. Most of the Senate and I presume a large portion of Congress are lawyers. As for the elections, we'll have to wait and see. FL and Michigan is becoming another reason for me to believe, that this election, as is the country, is a little messed up. |

The remaining states won't mean much at all. Even Pennsylvania. To help Hillary. Am I correct in this, Norton?
