Ron Paul is still hanging in there he's the best of the bunch but doesn't have hope in hell as he has been squished by the news networks and his own party

^Well, you have to be realistic in today's world. Ron Paul never had any more chance than Pat Paulson or Stephen Colbert.

Whoops!

It seems the Clinton daughter violated election laws in New Haven, CT the other day.

What's new, eh? Just another Clinton doing whatever it takes...

Watching Bill O'Reilly now, and he has Dick Morris on as a guest analyzing Super Tuesday, and the future.

O'Reilly says that even if Obama comes in second in delegates, that Clinton has to make a deal with him to be VP, and he would accept it. However, it's not clear who will win yet.

With McCain, he reckons Condoleezza Rice would make the best VP choice or maybe Mitt Romney to appease the far right.

Dick Morris didn't disagree.

Really, how? I'm not very familiar with his party at all. "Libertarian party" seems a bit of an oxymoron (I guess from an anarchist's point of view) but his supporters were certainly very vocal...

^BF, what don't you understand about appeasing all the elements of a political party in order to win?

America is more complicated than it appears at first blush. There are huge power blocks in various factions from liberal to conservative in various levels.

so why would appeasing christian fundamentalist be ok, but appeasing muslims extremists not ? the Christian ones have killed far more people than the muslims ones, no compromise and no courting

a bit hyprocrite for such support of appeasement ?

That's easy. There isn't a big important political block of Muslims in the US. in either party. Remember, we're talking about winning an election, not about whether you agree with Christians vs. Muslims' political power.

^ but courting them also means appeasing their concern and following their ideas, why should this be ok for one, but not ok for the others

These people are more dangerous than your peace loving muslims,

^BF, this is a discussion of the US Presidential Campaign. If you can find a citation of the importance of Muslims as a important delegate or voting block in the US in either party then your comments are valid. Otherwise, you're off topic and should take your Muslim sympathies to the proper thread.

^ so if there was a terrorist organization represented in the US, it would be ok for US politicians to court them for a vote ? I find this highly disgraceful. What about the Nazi party in the US ? if they had more members, should US politicians court them ?

^Yes! Absolutely. That is the beauty of US representative democracy. Any block with enough votes, delegates and power can be courted.

not really a beauty, more about letting the possibility for nutcases to run the show, this usually doesn't end well,

how many times do i have to tell you it doesn't matter how often you post nonsense, it doesn't make it any more accurate.

just this past weekend, oprah was on the stump for obama. that's right, THREE DAYS AGO!

Quote:
The Obama campaign answered the visit by the surrogate-in-chief with a raucous rally featuring its own roster of influential endorsers at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. In addition to Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Caroline Kennedy, California first lady Maria Shriver was at the rally -- and was formally introduced as part of the Obama camp.

Winfrey made essentially the same argument to women as former President Clinton made to African Americans: No knee-jerk voting, please.

"Every part of me believes in the empowerment of women," Winfrey said. "But the truth is I'm a free woman. Being free means you get to think for yourself and you get to decide for yourself what to do."

Well, golly gee, you sure get your knickers in a twist over little things don't you RC? I am sooooo sorry I missed that news bulletin. Last I read, Oprah was toning it down for the reason I gave.
Gosh, I bet you used to count paperclips at Walmart for a living. Or more likely, worked at a government job moving boxes from A to B and back again.
Get a life and some manners.

Why in the world would Jet need to apologize for expressing her opinion, which was based on something she read. Maybe it wasn't current, but you seem bound and derminined to extract your pound of flesh RC.
