Clinton and Obama pretty much neck and neck in California.

49% TO 48% representing no more than about a thousand votes.
Mrs Bill narrowly ahead.

The biggest Spanish language dialy endorced Obama this could help him win the votes of Latinos in LA SF and with that the whole of California. So far Obama hasn't polled well among Latinos probably for rather... base reasons. O Winfery is on board she really is one of the most powerful people in America. Mc Cain looks old and confused ...the continued talk of the red peril makes you wonder which century he is living in.

CNN has projected Clinton win in California. Looks like delegates will be split fairly even so Hillary may have bragging rights of winning but will not get big edge in delegates.

You have republicans saying they would much much rather they were facing Clinton in the election.

why then, don't democrats take the longer term view and all vote Obama??

Might be because most Dems think either can win easily over any Republican. A very bad presumption I would think. The race for the Democratic nomination will continue and the Dems will have to be careful not to self destruct by Barak and Hillary committing party suicide.

Either way the outcome of super Tuesday comes out it looks like the Dems will be battling to the last State. Obama will have an edge here I believe. He will have won the most states even though Hillary won the big ones and he won in states he was expected to lose. At the moment he has much more money in reserve than Hillary and will be able to raise far more than her in the future. Reason, most of Barak's supporters are small contributors and Hillary's are large ones coming mostly from lobbyists who have already contributed the max allowed by law.

^That's not as funny as it sounds. For the lower middle class who watches that daytime TV crap, she has tremendous influence, and that's a lot of people.

This is because A LOT of people really hate Hillary. We loved Bill, but that Hillary bitch can get really annoying. And she is. I'm for Obama all the way, but I'd rather vote for McCain than Hillary.

Hillary is a far distance behind Obama on the likability scale and given they really have no significant difference on the issues I believe this is what will tip the nomination to Obama.

cnn analysts are saying the most notable thing to come out of super tuesday is that barak has benefited far more than expected from Edwards departure from the race.

I think his wins in the states polls showed Edwards doing well are testament to this view.

CNN just projected Obama winner in Missouri. This is a key state! Again delegates will be split fairly even.

At the moment Hillary is slightly ahead in delegates but the popular vote is a virtual dead heat. Hillary 5.6M vs Obama 5.5M.

CNN has reported the Welsh have made a long awaited and very important endorsement to Sen. Obama. Their spokesman Chaingmai Noon speaking from Obama headquarters in Northern Thailand has promised to "Bring all the vast resources at my disposal to the support of a guy we Welsh think to be the nicest candidate in the race." Obama's support of same sex and interspecies marriage were key factors in the Welsh endorsement.

Obama has Big Mo at the mo. Hillary's goose is cooked.

My other choice, Romney, seems to have crumbled. I don't much care for McCain, so will likely vote for Obama.

Oprah Winfrey is a bloviating windbag addressing a generation of fat, mindless housewives sitting on their sofas eating bonbons. She's reality TV's Harlequin Romance -- on and on and on about love and diets and makeup and fashion and blah blah blah. Hardly a powerhouse outside her studio.

Sure she's loaded, but a gnat on the political scene.

Grrr. I noted before that her fan base, which is HUGE, is angry that she is supporting a black rather than a woman. That's why she's been quiet of late. But, she carries alot of slugging power.

I agree with you, tex. I have nothing against Oprah, but she is an entertainer.

An entertainer, rock star, or actor will never influence my vote. I think even the most uninformed Americans would not be swayed by an entertainer. Hope not at least.

Agree. Looks like McCain is the Republican guy. Romney took one hell of a beating. As of now if McCain has any opposition I would say Huckabee is closer than Romney. Will McCain ask Huckabee to join him as VP? I'm guessing no but sure would go a long way to getting McCain some of the hard core Republican conservative vote he really needs in a Presidential run.

I just read that McCain's voters went to Huckabee to hurt Romney in West Virginia. (cnn.com) Intersting move.

I don't know if McCain will pick Huckabee for VP, but you have a good point.

I think McCain will pick a conservative that will appeal to the disgruntled conservative that loathe McCain so much.

Huckabee got his southern Bible Belt states.

He is third in the delegate count as of now, and I don't think he has legs.
