| Sundance is my bff | ^Yeah, unfortunately, I put Coulter and Malkin in the same self-serving camp. Mind you, there are lots of other great true right wingers who are not merely spouting rhetoric, but actually believe it. You mentioned Ollie North - a true patriot. I've always like Bill Buckley. Even Dennis Miller has a sense of humor and doesn't get caught up in the over the top BS. There are lots of good right wing spokesmen and women with credibility. |

| Thailand Travel Forum | As counterpoint to SF Values, I humbly offer an alternative: Frank J's vision of America A fist in every hippie's face. Criminals on fire, running around the streets. Every time you turn on the TV, foreign countries exploding. Tax collectors shunned like in biblical times. Guns. Increased vigilance for pirates. People deported for being to big a sissy to be an American. Everywhere a BBQ. Giant cars left on to burn gas for no reason. Liberals treated like lepers. Dinosaurs roam the streets, delivering mail. Lawyers exiled. Disputes settled by kung fu. Rocket shoes. Every movie has America as the hero and huge terrorist body counts. Even Disney films. And romantic comedies. Monkeys slaughtered. Katanas are back in style. Illegal immigrants flee home and write back letters of apology. Giant robots for some reason. Everything has bacon in it. Thanks to IMAO: Frank J.'s Vision for America

Also, Oliver North played the American public like the fools they are: attending the Congressional hearing in 1987 wearing a Marine uniform. Drinking the All-American coca-cola. Basically, a cocaine dealer. Those who got to know North well realized he was a habitual liar, and strange fellow. Thankfully he lost his Virginia Senatorial bid to Robb in the mid 90s.

| ^ Yeah, I thought that "true patriot" bit was a bit odd. As you've laready mentioned he was involved in drugs, he dealt arms to Iran, and then he lied about it all. Other than lying about it all at the behest of your Govt., how does that make one a "true patriot"!?

Iran-Contra came later: secretly selling arms to Iran to fund the Contras in Nicaragua.

Still to be fair the situation was resolved and Ollie was good enough to take time out away from his other "patriotic" duties. Like narcotics trading.
