Speyside malt fan myself prefer the nose and palettes.
You would enjoy the Glenrothes 1985 in that case.Originally Posted by Gordon Brown

Aberlour 30 Year Old Single Speyside Malt Whisky was distilled in 1966 and then matured in two sherry butts and one bourbon hogshead. Only 1,000 bottles of this unique malt whisky have been produced. Aberlour 30 Year Old is packaged in an elegant wooden box and each bottle is individually numbered. Appearance: Deep gold colour. Taste: Well balanced developing fruity flavours with oak and toasted marshmallow-like notes. Nose: Nose of rich Seville oranges. Finish: Long and intense with hints of fragrant heather.
400 quid.
Yep, know of Aberlour, only tried the 16 yo at around 40 quid a bottle. But fok me 400 for the 30yo!

Used to get my Granda a nice bottle of more unusual single malt each time I visited him as an adult. I got him Aberlour, once & he enjoyed it. Never got him Glenfiddich, but I think Glenmorangie was the first one I bought him (when I hit 18). In Elgin, they've got a great whisky shop that sells all sorts of interesting blends & single malts.
Be a nice little stocking filler.Originally Posted by Gordon Brown

^Right, but you can buy it anywhere in the world. The scotch whisky that you buy in Scotland is the best. I bought about ten small bottles, as gifts, and everyone I gave it to could say that it came directly from the source.
I think Scotch can put hairs on my chest if I drink too much of it.
Here is a good website about Scotch.
Since I'm not a man, I think I'll bow out of this conversation now. Puts her Scotch on the rocks down, and walks out the door.

What's an oak and silver "Omas" pen?
The oak is taken from barrels used in the production of Krug Champagne.
The same is turned into the body of a pen by
'gifted craftsmen'
The finished unit is then blended for want of a
better word in a fancy fashion with sterling silver
and turned out as a very expensive limited edition pen indeed.
You want to buy one.. Get ready for this £600..00 or there-abouts.
OMAS Krug Limited Edition Rollerball PenItem Number: 2589
Fancy isn't it.

And the men all dance on the polka dots
It's closing time !
I still can't come to terms with the fact that anyone could be this stupid.Originally Posted by phuketbound
I suppose if you drop the word scotch then it all becomes clear. The Irish stuff is quite tasty as well.
