SiLeakHunt: I am an absolute amateur but I use Photobucket - it's free. Upload your photos onto there, then you get a little list of http links underneath each photo. I use the bottom line, the fourth link to copy and post onto here. I use the 'Go Advanced' option on here - and then only if my seven year old grandson isn't sitting beside me - BECAUSE OF ALL THOSE VERY RUDE EMOTICONS. Ahem!!! Mathos - please get well soon and Flobo. Thank you for wonderful photos, greatly enjoyed at our house!!

Thanks patsycat. Good advice. Wouldn't want to be walking across these fields in a pair of sandals, wearing shorts and a T shirt either. ![]() Some folk go for a swim in the sea or in lakes, rivers and canals even on Christmas day in the UK. I wouldn't fancy joining them or these ducks at this time of year. ![]() You'd have to be 'quackers'

It was quite nice earlier today, then it changed, strong winds and heavy rain most of the late afternoon and evening. ![]() The ice will be melting now, thats for sure. January 2nd in Bury there were two girls and a boy who fell through ice into a sailing lake, they were aged about twelve. Amazing how kids don't realise the dangers. Thankfully they were all ok. One 'Dad' a young bloke was bollocked for walking across a frozen lake carrying a baby. Another guy jumped into a lake to save his dog which had gone onto a lake and fallen through thinner ice further from the bank. There was a quote in one of the papers stating some twenty people had died after falling through ice over the last twenty years or so in the UK. I thought it would have been a lot more than that, but the winters over the last twenty years or so have been very mild. ![]() This might be the last of the snow. We certainly haven't had a decent fall in this part of the country. ![]() It won't be too long before everything is sprouting with new life either. ![]() It's really scenic though. ![]() Beautiful sky in the 'frosty day' snap above.

Had a real nice birthday, took a couple of nice local walks, trying to get the rest of this infection to do a runner. Pushing for time lately, but there are a couple of snaps to put up on display. ![]() It snowed yesterday. ![]() Probably the last of the season. ![]() Time will tell no doubt. It makes a nice contrast with the evergreens though. ![]() Flobo reckons it always looks pretty. My job to clean the paths though. ![]() It froze for an hour or two last night, then snowed some more, but it warmed up a little today and started to melt it, then it rained, almost gone right now.

There are some pleasant scenes you come across just taking a walk. ![]() I reckon the trampoline should have been put away for the winter though. ![]() Flobo put a 'mess of bones' out for that feral cat that pays us a visit every day or so. He'll never hunt if she keeps this up. The M6 was quiet on Sunday though. ![]() Must have caught it just at one of those particular moments. The builders are keeping busy. ![]() New houses going on here. There were two 'bonny horses' in this setting as well. ![]() Couldn't get a really clear shot of them, but they looked in fine fettle.

Really beautiful day today. I took Flobo through to Fleetwood, she likes to buy her fish there, really fresh, straight off the boats, or as near as damn it. We took the coast road, enjoying the simple beauty of the day. It was a nice little trip, we stopped at a pub 'Carvery' for some lunch £3..50 per head. It was first class as well. ![]() The above photograph was taken at Lytham St Annes. Beautiful spot on the map, nice place all round. We didn't go into town. Took a really pleasant walk around the large lake there, breathing in plenty of sea air, it was quite cold and bracing, but hardly a cloud in the sky before dinner time. ![]() As I mentioned the lake is splendid. ![]() Obviously there were plenty of sea gulls about, the one on the right here was quite a big specimen too. There's some really nice property overlooking the sea front. Property prices in this part of Lancashire are 'really expensive'

| Some of the views today especially were really exceptional. It was nice, or maybe I should say really nice, just to take stock of the sea and coast line in general. ![]() The waters in these locations are especially dangerous, it pays to keep well clear unless you know the same well. ![]() This particular photograph was taken from the sea front looking back towards Lytham St Annes and the White Church in the distance. | I saw this 'chappie' with his rod down by the River Ribble Estuary. You could just tell he was enjoying every second of it. ![]() I thought it might have been 'Happyman' on another day.
