Smile Blackpool's not a Total Shite Hole

    What's that in the distance?

How do you stop a monkey climbing Blackpool Tower?
    Send it to Southport!

Time for a spot of traditional Blackpool lunch and i don't mean a pack of cigarettes and 10 pints of Cider.

A three story Wetherspoons complete with elevator and hard as fook northern wicker man.

    Our horse and carriage awaits.

The Red Arrows display at the South Pier beckons.

Some random muppet pretending to be a Red Arrow

Jake and Ellwood were chilling out in the Bed and Breakfast hotel.

The worlds largest roller coaster was value for money, i got to eat the chish and fips twice.

    Some posing b'stards about.

Anyone for some rock? Blackpool's biggest export alongside hangovers, empty pockets and the clap.

    Catering for the Scottish clientele

    One for the dinner thread.

Only been to blackpool once staying a night. It was OK and I should imagine that as long as it is not in peak tourist time, it's nice enough. There definitely is a fairly serious undercurrent to the place though in the evening; edgy, might be the phrase.

No, I think "Blackpool is a shithole" is all that needs to be said.

I didn't really see it. Me and a mate were driving from Scotland to Cornwall and stopped there for the night because neither of us had been there before. We got there when it was dark, got shit faced, and then set off in the morning very hung over.

I went to Blackpool for a week, Saturday to Saturday with a Dagenham babe, her little bastard and her Irish mother. The plan was that the mother would pay for herself, that was the plan before we got there.
I went to an average restaurant to eat and the mother complained that it was too expensive, she wanted a workers cafe. Then they wanted Me to settle the bill because it was too expensive, when I refused to pay the mothers share they started saying that I was not a gentleman.
Drove them to lake Windermere for a day out, same, they wanted Me to pay for everything.
We where there in October to see the " Illuminations "
Fkn shit street decorations with faces of Coronation street characters, I don't watch soaps.
It was very cold walking along the promenade. The B.B was awful, decorated back in Vic times.
Blackpool was so depressing that I got very drunk and when asleep wet the bed, told the landlady that it was the little kid who had an accident.
I hadn't yet holidayed in Thailand, to discover that apart from the language it ain't that different, you need to be drunk to enjoy the places.

The place isn't much fun at chucking out time on fri/sat nights, I've seen it on tv
Whoever wants to visit such a place must have a screw (or three) loose

I pity anyone living there. I went there not long ago for the day, trust me, never again. On a casual stroll out on the seafront, I happened to stumble upon a bloke and a woman having an enormous shouting match which descended into violence - the woman smacking the guy in the head then the guy belting the woman. Next thing a copper turns up but instead of trying to calm things down he starts clouting the guy with his truncheon. Then, cutting a long story short the guy wrestles the truncheon from the copper and starts belting his Mrs AND the copper.

Just to cap it all off this crocodile turns up and nicks all the sausages!

Blackpool used to be great for a 'Rugby Tour'. With so many 'Hen Parties' going there you were guaranteed the ride.

    I'd rather holiday in Jaywick

In 2010 Jaywick was assessed as the most deprived area in England. In September 2015 it was again named as the most deprived,

I watched a couple of those benefits by the sea programs. They were of course meant for people to laugh at poor people on benefits and give people cheap thrills. However, when you watch them, you will see desperately poor people who still have humanity. One old lady there put a mobile home in her garden to set up a free feed place for her neighbours. Even though she was fucking skint as well. I'd rather meet those people than the detritus you see in those "ohh we're fucking rich and spoilt [at][at][at][at]" programs they like to air

I did the horse and coach ride up the Blackpool Promenade which I enjoyed, but in the picture is a Cinderella Kathy Price wedding coach.
And I didn't think the place could get even tackier.

The B.B that I stayed in, the electric shower was on the stairs landing, not in the room, so you had to leave the room to go shower on a staircase landing. Before commencing a shower, the money meter needed loading of 20 p coins. Half way through the shower the money would run out and you needed somebody to stand outside the shower to reload the elec money box.

Al; this talk of BB is confusing me.

    BB - BaitongBoy?

    BB - Bareback?

BBC Top Gear, the new Chris and Matt format, in the first ever feature broadcast this weekend featured the first assignment in Blackpool.
Blackpool looked at its best, and the new presenters will appeal to a younger audience in Germany and the U.S.A.
The new Top Gear and Blackpool share the same magic.

It was pissing down, Blackpool at its best?
Are you taking the piss as Top Gear did with the Yank in the knackered Robin unreliant?

The new Top Gear is politically correct, with the right ethnic mix of cast who chat away as if on a bbc children's program.
It just doesn't get into a top gear shift, sure doesn't feel the same, still that's Bbc progressiveness.

Morcombe has never been alright, it's smaller version of Blackpool.

I must admit the road out of it is quite pleasant.
