We had the same problem a couple of years ago.
In the end we called the Thai Airways office in Sydney Aus. and they were brilliant. They even changed the flights from a 2 week visit to a 4 week visit and there was no charge at all.
    Friendly, helpful and quick.

Booked with them a few days back, Nigel - no probs.

No probs bar the massive void of nothingness that now comprises my bank account.

I was seriously toying with the Air India option. Takes about 5 days to get here but the price is right.

Anyway were booked Thai direct including the Udon flight via Netflights

Yes Eva is a little bit cheaper BUT then you still gotta add the Udon flight, not much in it really.

The main thing is if Thai bollox up the return Udon flight to BKK then they have to fork out for your onward flight to Heathrow , if your coming back to Udon on another carrier and miss your flight from BKK then you gotta fork out again

Anyway happy days , something to look forward to after all this fake xmas shit going on here at the mo

Im quite looking forward to that

While we are here talking about Thai Airways, I have a free upgrade so am flying Biz Class.

Who would be the best person to talk to regarding trying to swap that ticket for 2 economy tickets, so I can be a barstard like Slap and introduce my kid to Arctic temperatures

The guy in the office here reckons it cant be done, but the value of that Biz Class ticket is 157,000 baht, so I'd have thought I'd be doing them a favour, although seeing their losses this year, I'd probably be better off banging my head against the wall

I had the same Thai website problem last month.

Ended up booking on the British Airways website which had an ingenious system where you can reserve the flight for £10 for up to three days to allow you to see if its price or other airline's prices drop. If the BA price drops, you get the lower price but if it goes up you get your reserved price. If you want to switch to another airline you lose your £10

Yeah, ok Flight Attendant Slaps... You'd really love all those extra flights, overnights in Calcutta airport, shops closed...

Haven't booked with Thai for a while, one reason being that their website always crashed. More than half the time ended up with another airline to avoid the internet reservation grief (and added prices) one gets with Thai. I have also had decent online experiences with them, they seem to be hit and miss...

For me, Thai airways website is the worst airline website I have ever had the misfortune of using. Over the years I estimate they have missed out on over half a million baht just from my family alone due to their ongoing website problems.

The only time I persevere with them is whenever I have to book an Auckland to Bangkok flight as they are the only company that flies direct.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

Why fly Thai? Check Priceline or Orbitz and you'll likely get a much better price on an airline that is at least as good or better.

Hate to say it, but after seeing the spoiled children of the Thai elite drive cars, I'd prefer to fly with Captain Sully.

    I especially like Priceline.com

..and yet, they never learn do they?

    The coin hasn't dropped.
Useless management and service all around.

If not for government and royal subsidies [akin to flushing down], they should've been outta business years ago.

    Sad tale - Thai Airways.

not flown Thai for a while, the last few times I did they weren't great, then they stopped letting you link up from Manchester, and now the prices are sky high. Wide birth for the time being ..

I just did BKK to CNX with them, Wide Cabin about 1/3 full, and so relaxed. there's worse booking sites like Air Asia, if you don't put in a post code the whole page disappears!
    Dam frustrating!!
