I have a biggie planned for Saturday week. Goes a bit like this:

    London - Paris - Mont Blanc - Bologna - Zagreb - Bratislava - Munchen - London

    Yep. That should do it.
Sounds great. Don't forget to take your puncture repair kit ...

... and a man-servant for the more testing moments in continental travel.

Shan't be needed. For this trip shall be exclusively undertaken by rail. Gonna try and complete the whole thing without staying in any formal accommodation.

Do railway arches and public toilets count?

Count Arthur Pong advises that while underneath the arches is a fine for flanagans shenanigans country cottaging causes piles.

Looking at the route it looks like railway station shitters will have to prevail.

[QUOTE="somtamslap"]Looking at the route it looks like railway station shitters will have to prevail.[/QUOTEEarly summer 1979 and Chas is curled up on a wooden bench on Munchen station. Following the Notts Forest Malmo European cup final, we missed the last train home and had to wait for an early morning commuter train to move on.
With nowhere to go and just a bit pissed, we had to rely on the station buffet for sustenence. It was about to close but the nice German lady took pity on us. Free bockwurst and kartoffel salad. They were about to end its shelf life anyway. A couple of bottles of local pils to nurse through the night.

Yes, the more I plan this trip the more I may have to rely on the kindness of strangers to see me through baack to Blighty. I've just calculated that my funds will have totally dimished while I'm travelling between Bratislava and Dresden.

I may have to shod myself in a suggestive lederhosen and bend over outside the public bogs.

Mont Blanc is a bit too close to Swissland. Why not go to Spain.

That strikes a chord, I used to do a pub crawl through Milton Keynes along the Grand Union and go from Wolverhampton to either Birmingham or Stourport at the weekend. I'm in the Peak District now and given up cycling
