    Get plenty of food for it, Slaps - the dodgy Ruskies sell off all the food car stuff, so you will be farked if you don't bring your own.

    I did the trans-Mongolian a couple of times, that was good. It'd be nice to do the trans-Siberian and get off for a few days here and there, but I don't think such tickets exist, so you may wanna plan your route in stages.
