Mathos. 50 years ago when I did the walk, there and back with my mates, bare footed. Sore feet after walking on the ripples in the sand.

When I was seven, I was dragged out of one of the many 'gulleys' on the Hest Bank side. Taken home by a couple that rescued me. I don't know what was worse...Nearly drowning or the beating my old lady gave me!

It was a good job there were plenty of young men in the large
party, it could have been a mega disaster, no two ways about that at
all in my opinion.
It was close.

Whilst this is a beautiful photograph, it made me think
children should not be part and parcel of doing this
crossing.
It's extremely dodgy to say the least.

Concern was being made regarding the lack of information
given at the time of booking.
The bay is notorious for its quicksand
and fast moving tides.

Honestly, that could have been a disaster, the organisers are clearly at fault.

Needs investigating.
