Time limit on editing a thread

What is the time limit for someone to be able to edit their post?

The reason I ask is that I want to put all my pics from a picture thread i am making in one post, and then go back and edit it and fill up all the words, so I don't lose the whole lot if I happen to click the wrong button as happened a short while ago after I had spent a good 30 mins working on a thread.

The alternative of course is to do a one picture one post kind of thread but that is what CMN does and it sucks.
