Thailands Travellers Tales Tell us your stories about travelling in and around Thailand. Where's cheap? What's good? Is Pattaya any good for families? Would Koh Samui be better?

3 Pagodas Pass/Burma/Thailand

Three Pagodas Pass aint a place for a visa run as they only issue day passes at present so you wont get your passport stamped, It's 10 US Dollars or 500baht for the day pass and you have to reenter Thailand before 6pm.

The nearest major town is Thong Pha Phum, from here the border crossing at Sangkhlaburi to Phya Tong Sue on the Burmese side is 90km away, this is a nice windy steep road and would be a great drive if it wasn't for all the potholes along the way you will get to see waterfalls and Mon river houses on the Khao Lam Dam.

The office for issueing day passes to Myanmar in Sangklaburi.

Some Mon Hilltribe river houses.

A nice waterfall just before the National park on the main road called Kreng Kravia Waterfall.

Driving through the Mountains near the Burmese border.

Some pictures of the Khao Lam Dam and some Mon River raft houses.

A small shrine near the National Park.

The entrance into Burma/Myanamar warning about no videos and cameras
