^I think they call that "rustic" in the brochures. Looks good to me.
Solitude...except for the TV crew of course.

It's bordering on cliche up here, but met two guys w/ tv access. Yukon Jeremy, I mentioned.
'Scott' is hosting Nancy Lake Rec Area this season. He had lived in Tok, AK - off grid for 12 years following a decade in a teepee. He also spent some time working in the local liquor store. Totally destroyed his faith in backcountry cops AND the natives, unfortunately.
Anyways, when the producer came with a generous offer, offered and he learned he'd be sharing space with 28(!) crewmembers, he pulled the plug,
"I came hete to get away from crowds."

The host is pretty cool. He advertised this on TripAdvisor and named it, "Cabin on a hill between two lakes." :)
Brad lived in the bush with his wife for around 30 years off and on (I'm afraid to ask where she is now, as he seems to be alone.)
He's s shop teacher (high school) by trade and has taught in various school districts in Oregon, Washington state, AK.
He's got 3 beautiful horses, breeding rabbits, dogs, ducks and chickens, tho a bald eagle swiped his black duck only 2 days ago.
getting the impression the missus is a bit miffed.
Photos look fantastic, but I'm sure it would be too chilly up there for me.
Yeah, she's miserable. At the moment, in the middle of an ice cold lake, raining, no fish and she's doubled over laughing so hard she cant tell me why.
AND she's doing most of the paddling!
She can go home anytime she likes and is well aware.
Her average is 3x a year.
She loved living in Saudi ya dingaling. Would go back with ease.
edit: was laughing at an otter.
There are Thais, thai food (pbara), thai temples (w/ thai monks) and she can sleep when and wherever she chooses. Thai heaven.
Well, she did grow up w/o running water or electricity.
She has been to Korea, all over Thailand, the Emirates, all over Saudi, Kenya, Greece, Turkey, Boston, NYC, LA, San Fran and Florida's hotspots w/ most of that 1st and 2nd class.
She has prepped for this.
Her Thai friends are in envious agony with every one of her posts. Some are even making their own bookings after being assured of thai eats and massage being readily available.
With a firearms safety and practical course done plus a 1st level wilderness survival class finished, she asked me yesterday "when are we going to camp in the real bush?" Patience Prudence,... in a week or so. We gotta go halibut fishing first.
