Just back from my Tasmania hike. Great trip (a little cold) Enjoy the pics!

Ended up doing only a 3 1/2 day hike this time and that's a good thing as it was a little too cold for me.
Here's a few pictures to tease you, but if you want to read the whole story and see many more, I wrote up quite a long blog entry about the hike here.

THey had tent platforms for the campsites but that didn't go so well for my tent.
Rained some every day but day 2 was quite beautiful most of the day.
Not very many hikers out there this time of year, which fit my style perfectly.
The ones that were there had huge heavy packs and mostly because they had better gear than I did. LOL.
But I was fine with a few tricks I've used in cold weather before.
Lots more pics on the blog.

    Nice pics.
    I'm out of greens.

Last time I was in Tazzie was around 1980.
A mate and I rode our bikes down from Sydney, accross to Adelaide, then along the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne.
    The overnight ferry to Devonport.
A lap around Tazzie then back home.
Had a blast and would love to do it again one day.

I doubt many were swimming this time of year.
There was ice on the wooden boardwalk things 2 of the mornings.
Of course it's their fall there.
    Glad you all enjoyed them.
I also believe the one looking back at Ball Lake with the red flowers in the lower left corner is my best shot.
    Loved the hike.
But the next one will be a lot warmer.
I already bought a new sleeping bag as my 22 year old bag that has done the "Triple Crown" in the states, plus Pyrenees and Via Dinarica didn't keep me warm enough.

Tassie reminded me a lot of PA but with added beautiful mountains. It had rolling hills, lots of farms, little traffic and our great friends there really took care of us.
