Standing under the Hubble that we passed on the upper level.
Brings back some good memories. My family went there a couple of times when I was a kid. The place has changed quite a bit since then. Guess NASA has to compete with Disney World these days.
Nice thread, Fishlocker!
The Rocket Garden is an open air area with many types of rockets on display. We missed the new year date that prior to, it was decorated in Seasonal lighting.

Too bad we missed it this place was neat as the sun was setting. I'm sure it would have been spectacular with Christmas lights shining bright in the night.
We arrived at 8:30am and stayed until close. I could have stayed longer but that's how it goes.
The fountain lit at dusk. We stayed a bit and helped many tourists from all over the world take family (group) photos as momentos of the visit. We enjoy that and as luck would have it we had others take our photo in return.
A nice backdrop and everyone has a camera. The gift shop was cool but expensive. I bought packages of tee shirts three in a pack for 30usd each. Lunch was quick as the menu was on several touch screens where you built your lunch and picked it up at the counter. They have it down to a science. Pretty fast as long as you don't ask for the moon.
Hope this was interesting and informative. I know most people will never get to visit but this is the next best thing. I watched the Apollo missions on a 19'' black and white screen as a child so I can honestly say we came a long way baby.
