Wrong..... I found one and she made me a peanut butter and honey sandwich for breakfast this morning. There are plenty out there, it just depends on weather or not you appeal to them.

As far as the conversation between the "old timers" I would say it is the most common conversation found when in situations like that. generally I find that a lot of what they have to say holds some weight, but most of it is just opinions which they have developed through their own bad, good or foolish experiences.

i tried exactly the same thing on my mother 65 years ago.....

made such a mess of the washing i was NEVER ALLOWD to do it again,

damn shame really,

and then i made a mess of cooking, and a mess of ironing, etc

soon i was never allowd to 'do' any chores!
