Quick - Daily withdrawl limit of UK banks in LOS

Any idea of what the limits usually are?

The missus can only get out 10k.

Used to be able to get two lots of 20k out but appears to be not working anymore.

Any ideas if the strong baht has effected daily withdrawls?

Probably the UK banks don't want to let go.

    fuckers.

That complicates things. She was meant to pull out 500quid which was never a problem before.

Even made sure she had security clearance on it.

It was £500 a day for me, as long as I'd cleared it with them by phone first.

About 26,000 THB now. Used to be more like 35,000 THB.

She managed to get out another 5k.

Told her to stop or it would flag her card up.

~300quid which is about right. Strange that it used to be 40k a day if you took it out in two goes.

    Is this an emergency?

Can she go to the bank and ask?

    Fuckers were quite rude.

Asked them and they said 300quid. I asked if I can raise it they said NO.
I checked again that there is now way I can ask for a higher limit.

    No sir you cannot.

    I fucking hate Halifax.

I could WU it to her, but for 32 quid she can get a sodding taxi to Bangkok bank and get the cash out of her Thai account.

Kept me waiting on the phone from a hotel for over 40 minutes then cancelled my credit card and my savings account instantly, just 6 days before my wedding because I'd let it slip that I was living in Thailand. I'd been using their services for over 10 years, never gone over a limit, always had plenty of funds there.

^ Odd. They know I lived and worked in Thailand, as well as here in ROK.

never thought of using them for savings.

They knew I did, because every transaction was here, over six years. Then a week before I needed the dosh I called them, the girl asked me where I was living. I said Thailand. She said, "Ur, that's a problem." Transferred to her boss who said their indemnity only covered UK residents and that now they knew I wasn't, they had to cancel all my accounts with immediate effect.

I think your UK bank is about to close. In october I have been able to withdraw 20,000 without the slightest problem.

Not necessarily. Depends on bank, account & if they know where you are. It's been £200 a day for me for over a year.

Got my Egg credit card bill last month, something like £60 min payment, got this months and it was £80 without any extra use on the card. Emailed them to ask why my min payments gone up by 30%

"Egg has changed its minimum payment from £5/2% to £5/3% blah, blah, blah"
Would have been nice if theyd have let me know beforehand.
I just blag them with I spend 6 months UK 6 months here, maybe theyre just waiting and plotting my downfall.

If i'm not mistaken, you can draw out larger amounts if you go into a bank. My limit was 200, but i managed to draw 700 by going into a bank. This was 8 months ago though. TSB did advice me i could do that when i tried to raise the limit.
