^ Haha, I remember that
Very very close to a red there... A painful day, though I was at Portman road when you were 2nd in the league (we were third), you had a team of internationals and we beat you six nil whilst missing three penalties...Originally Posted by sabaii sabaii

I remember you getting into Europe not too long back, the first leg was shown live on BBC1, but after only getting about 10,000 viewers the second leg was switched to BBC 2
Was that when we beat Inter Milan (and a very exciting close run second leg in Italy...)?Originally Posted by sabaii sabaii
Yep, he was quality, but Thysen was better (European player of the year). Didn't Alan Brazil end up at United too - he was a great finisher for us.Originally Posted by FarangRed
Yes he did, He then moved back to England to join Tottenham Hotspur in March 1983 for the season, making 31 appearances, and scoring 9 times. In June 1984 he joined Manchester United for a fee of £625,000. He stayed with United for two seasons, making a total of 41 appearances in the League, the League Cup, the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup. He scored 16 goals whilst with them.
^ he was a good player, and an excellent drinker...
Man U had a few good drinkers until Fergie came along

I went to a new age school, never did spelling, more free expression. Your holistic approach. OK massive teacher shortage so they sent us out for 3 hours of soccer practice each day. Then mass for an hour then extended recess and 1 1/2 hours for Dinner. Best education ever. Actually used to look forward to Maths.
Only lived in the NorthEast a couple of time. Spent most of my youth in GM under the dark Satanic Mills of Metro Wigan.
If my laxed spelling drtracts from yet another year of Man U being #1 I apologizze.
This post isnt directed at anyone in particular, just at all the Man Utd fans on the board.
Fuck you guys.
Deserves a green.
I support any team that's playing the team Noodles supports.
Which rounders team doe EN suport?
well said mate ! allways makes me larf these stupid twats walking around with Man u shirts on and have never been within 200 miles of Old Trafford . These numpties aint supporters they are followers ,, supporters pay money week in week out to go through the turnstiles , not these twats that go to the local car boot on a Sunday to buy a snide shirt for a fiverOriginally Posted by khmen

Opps then that makes me a follower now then. Can't afford the bus fare. Don't buy shirts cause they are a rip off. Really resent walking around like a bill board advertising stuff for free after paying a bloody fortune in the first place.
Actually many of the old time supporters can't afford to watch games anymore. Well priced out of the Market. Many new supporters are the well healed social elite. Many travel much further than 200 miles to sit in their boxes.
How much is the average match day ticket now? I'd imagine a season ticket for the top clubs is up there with an average salary by now!
The last time I went to a game was in 2001, liverpool vs arsenal (I'm a gooner) and i think it cost me under 20 quid.
