Are Thai Parents really this idiotic?

I know living in Thailand we've all seen things the Thai's do that surprise us! Today however, on my way to work on the Toll way at Rama III, i saw the most idiotic thing that made me think "surely not".

At the top of a slip-road, i don't recall which one, parents were dropping their kids off at the top of this busy suicidal slip road so they could keep on the tollway because didn't want to get stuck in the main traffic below I presume. Convenience over the lives of our young ones of course! They were escorted by another adult so all was well!
    ______________

On a similar subject i watched a pretty nasty video of car accidents which was captured using mobile phones, and to say it was a mess was an understatement. I hate watching videos like this but i just couldn't stop. Around 8 people were splattered, including a pregnant woman and, unbelievably people there were more interested in filming than seeing if they could be of assistance. A traffic policemen was cut in half and was still alive feeling for his legs. Miraculously he somehow survived with very little of his top-half left.

I won't post the links as they are gruesome.

You will find people watching rather then helping all over the world, that's not thai-specific.

Plain laziness and convenience regarding dropping off children in dangerous places.

Go ahead and post the links, for Asians, the bloodier the better.

I saw a woman riding a motorcy using her right arm and the left arm was used to hold her baby and talk on her mobile phone.

People like that shouldn't be allowed to have kids

Who would clean your house for you then?
Seriously they play an important role in society, you wouldn't want to deprive them that by giving them an education.

Someones gotta flip burgers, clean streets, make up hotel rooms, ect ect!
