    Worst purchase ever?

Yesterday I purchased my worst ever.....well.....purchase.
It was a 168 baht DURIAN from BigC, Phrae.
Man. This is the dude that went for Betamax, was interested in a Sinclair C-5 and bought a loada shares in DeLorean (fuck you Michael J Fox).
Of all my mistakes in both fashion and lifestyle choices I have never felt so ashamed in laying out this kinda money on a fruit that makes me not only dry heave, but actually puke by just the smell.
Why did I lay out nearly 170 big ones on such a monster? Well I wanted to give the Mum some face by dishing some out after the weeds and bag of sick shite they normally serve up for dinner.
It worked a treat and all the guests looked like they had just had an orgasm after the fruit was polished off.
Me? Lets just say that I woke up this morning and though why did I spend about 4 notes sterling on a piece of poo. This must rate as my worst purchase ever.
    What's yours???????
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

168 Baht is nothing for a proper durian mate. Their shite.

You obviously brought the cheaper version and a Maung Thong Durian will fetch up to 600 Baht, not as smelly, much tastier and a far better fruit if you like that type of thing.

Oh dear... imagine how much it might've been at Tops! That is a crap purchase - excellent effort.

I think I can trump it though: a few years back I bought a sandwich maker for a few hundred baht (the last one on the shelf). The cashier gave me a strange look, but took my money. When I got home the missus asked me why I bought a product that said in large writing (in Thai) "This sandwich maker does not work"? - the store (of course) had a no refund policy...

Philips DVD player from central world two years ago with speakers and radio. Never has worked properly, took it back only to find it had just a 6 month warranty- in shop a long time! Had it repaired twice, still does not work, sticks on any DVD. Philips stuff is good in UK but crap over here.

Yes, one does learn not to buy anything made in Thailand, by a Thai company.

As a teenager I ordered a light blue satin jacket ( then in fashion ) from Melody Maker. When it arrived and I tried it on I instinctively knew that to wear it in public would be an open invitation to get a good beating from just about anyone, so I never had the bottle to go out in it.

I did the same with a bright pink Aquascutum shirt.

Tried it on in the shop and it fitted a dream and is still the best fitting shirt I have ever bought off the hook.

But as soon as I got it home and tried it on I knew that to wear this down the boozer would open me up to a life time of humiliation.

Morning hangovers, purchased the evening before and especially when I have an early morning meeting.

Couldn't handle them when I was younger and especially difficult to manage now I am older.

bought a "mattress" in a thai village shop, once.

looked great standing propped up against the wall.
i hate shopping and it was cheap and i don't really give a shit: a mattress is a 'kkin mattress, after all and the shop assistant assured me that it would be firm enough, etc.

after it had been delivered, i laid the bloody thing out and took a flying jump at it (as one does with a new mattress)!, and nearly broke my back!

turned out to be a cardboard box covered with a centimetre thick layer of foam enclosed in some expensive looking fabric!

no refund due to the farang-shaped dent right in the centre of it
    brrrzzzzt, brrrzzzt!
    beep!. ting, ting
    redirecting, please be patient..........:

    hello, insect!
    brrrzzzt, brrrzzzt..................

    Worst buy

I once bought a suit, in the sales, with 2 pairs of trousers.
I went out in it, and burnt a hole in the jacket.
