Is this almighty fuck up mentioned in US schools and so on?
It isn't mentioned in US history because it just isn't worth the breath of the professor.
That's interesting since exactly the same thoughts about the welcome US forces would get in Canada were used in Iraq.
Perhaps history does hold lessons "worth the breath of the professor".
An event that never happened is worth the time of day of a history class? If you are studying the fluid changes in alliances, yes, but the real history of the time by regular students, not a chance.

Go back to taking pictures until you can drop your bias.

Looks like US foreign policy hardly changes. Their arrogance continues to fuck themselves up as well.
    Original Poster:

This looks like a CONTINGENCY PLAN.

Nations do this all the time, and still today. Canada has a Contingency Plan on how they would attack the United States.

You obviously don't know much about the military, contingency plans, or history.
No just an anti US bias

Ooh, I just heard a good war joke. Having the French fighting with me is as useful as taking my accordion with me when I go deer hunting.

Yes, but I was replying to the war in your post, which was the last time the US had a post invasion plan.

    That I doubt.....

But back on topic, the OP posted about pre WWII events, so my response was on target... You need to have a better answer.

Well golly gosh. There are some paranoid posters on here. Anti US, me?
Ner. Just pointing out, after a mention of this from a visiting Canadian, that US war plans tend to assume they will be welcomed as liberators.
1812 showed that can cock up as did Iraq.
An event that never happened is worth the time of day of a history class?
Never happened? How do you make that out and, if so, why did the White house need that new coat of paint?
Be happy dudes. It's a lot more fun than crying.

Yeah, its easy to hate the only reamining global power. Kida stupid to list an ancient warplan to try and make a cheapshot political point.

Of course the point is not anti US propaganda but the US should have taken note of the failed idea in 1812 before doing the same in Iraq.

I wonder why all the posters who claim I hate the US are missing that bit out.
Do you guys think that line should have been used in Iraq or would it have been better, considering hindsight, to have considered it?
