Yes, we should be misled by opposite of these things.

He sounds strangely bitter for someone whose "side", "won".

It's not a clever way to win the argument - setting yourself against fluffy sounding concepts. The sensible way to proceed is to define them in your favour, and make the opponent out to be liar. I suspect that's what he meant to say, but it didn't come out right (I'm being kind).

Difficult to gauge in the context but I surmise there is heavy irony in this tweet.
