    Drinking habits

If i am out with the lads i tend to drink more than is good for me. They are a generous lot and insist on buying rounds, which tends to get you caught up in the reverie.
i am not complaining but i find my habits change when out with the gf. I tend to drink water or wine with a meal and will make a conscious effort to make sure i am sufficiently capable to do the business, if she is in the ,mood when we get home.

I have a friend who insists that the liver is evil and it must be punished. i can only follow this philosophy when there is no chance of a jump in the sack.

I rarely drink these days- if I'm taking a few days off to hang out with some friends in Bangkok I'll indulge, but I can easily go months between drinks.

I have convinced myself that any alcohol the day before I plan to do any form of exercise (gym/cardio/Muay Thai) will have a detrimental effect on my performance, and I exercise everyday...

I didn't used to be this boring.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

    I have another hangover......

I promised myself a night off the drink, but that was in 1983.

Never was much for drinking. What helped me stop the habit I never really had was to be sober and watch what fools most drunks make of themselves. Don't want to be one of those, oh no no no. Some people hold their liquor well. Some people don't. Some people think they do but they don't.

Why do something continuously that shortens your life?

I wonder what the % of regular TD posters are alcoholics. It would be pretty high I would guess.

If this was true, why am i still alive.

Used to imbibe quite a lot over a long period. Having a moderate intake now, and regular exercise seems to work ok for me.

22 years of living in Thailand and still flying my flag fueled by JW Black Label.

With regard to alcohol I am a perfect example of a social drinker and never drink alone and socially, rarely before 6.00pm.

I drink too much for sure, but I'm luckey enough to have the constitution of diesel locamotive and not a lot phases me.
I do a few weights and often throw LD in his trailer and tow him behind my bike (a Cannondale F6, nice bit of kit) out to the Forrest.
As far as shagging goes I love getting the ride when I'm pissed and for some odd reason I love a good hangover fcuk all the more.
And as socialiseing with chicks goes.....does the odd street girl in the back of my Volvo count?

Erm, why? Are you an alcoholic?

Keep myself pretty fit with weights, running, boxing, etc., but enjoy a drink or three at the w/e's. I don't drink much beer these days, rather drink vodka or the odd glass of wine.

I simply can't handle drinking any more. More than a couple of beers and I'm feeling it the next day.

I don't find drunks the least bit attractive. It's one of the things that attracted me to my partner, he didn't drink when I met him. Now he drinks a little bit

I tend to drink rose wine on a weekend at home but if I go out I usually go for cocktail pitchers (to share) or whatever's cheapest. Not a big beer drinker but an ice cold beer on a scorcher of a day can be really refreshing. I like cider more than beer though.

Do blokes tend to find drunk women attractive?
and he just stands there, waiting for me to drive my truck straight through him, with LIGHT coming out of his mouth!

There is a thread on how much do you drink in the village?
    I'm a flaming alky.
But I still get up, do my work, earn a crust, then drink it.
Laosy still gets her dough etc.
